A four-year-old girl had her scalp torn off in a vicious dog attack before her mom hid from police and tried to hide her bloody clothes.

The girl, Lilianna, was rushed to the ICU at Nebraska Medicine after the attack on February 20 in an industrial estate in Omaha.

Police said in a report the dog belonged to her mother's boyfriend - and the dog was caught shortly after the attack and euthanized.

Lilianna's mother, Danielle Stratman, 24, hid from police when they arrived, changing out of her bloody clothes and hiding them under the bed. Both her and her boyfriend, Greg Preister, have been arrested for obstruction.

Lillianna's grand aunt, Kimberly Lane Koterba, said the toddler was 'was attacked by a Cane Corso Mastiff mix' and 'her scalp was torn off, her cheek bone was broken, she has torn ligaments in her neck and stitches all over her body.'

The attack happened while Lillianna was visiting her mother.

Stratman was not supposed to have any contact with her child as there was a no-contact order in place after she was arrested earlier in February and charged with child abuse and domestic assault, according to KETV.

Sharing a link to a GoFundMe for Lillianna's medical bills, Koterba said: 'I’m fundraising for my Grand Niece Lillianna who was attacked by a Cane Corso Mastiff mix.

'She is 4 years old and her scalp was torn off, her cheek bone was broken, she has torn ligaments in her neck and stitches all over her body.

'She is now out of ICU but will possibly having another surgery later this week. Many more to follow. She’s also going to need therapy for the trauma.

'This angel was born with Spina bifida. Any funds not used for medical purposes will go into a trust account for her future needs. Thank you.

She added: 'It wouldn’t have happened if the mother had not violated a no contact order while the child was being babysat by her Grandmother.'

Police detailed the incident, where they were initially called for a violent attack, officers said in a report seen by KETV

When authorities arrived, they said Stratman hid from officers at her boyfriend's home and changed out of her bloody clothes - which she then hid under a bed.

Police did not find the dog at the scene of the attack but animal control was called and located the dog at Preister's home.

He handed the dog over voluntarily and officials took it to the Nebraska Humane Society, who euthanized it immediately.

Pam Wiese from the Nebraska Humane Society told KETV: 'We immediately euthanized the dog and sent the tissue out for testing due to the severity of the injuries and where they were located.

'It needs to be expedited because the injuries were very close to the brain.'
