The 'drunk driver' who killed a South Carolina bride minutes after her wedding was caught whining about being 'a lonely alcoholic' in a self-pitying jailhouse phone call.
In a call obtained by the New York Post from December 11, just months before she was released on a $150,000 bond, Jamie Lee Komoroski, 26, spoke to her sister Kelsi and confessed to her addiction.
'I consider myself an alcoholic addict because anything that makes me feel different or takes me away from what I'm supposed to be feeling, I used to try to do,' she said on the phone.
'I just didn't think life had any meaning. I was extremely lonely and didn't get life. I could never just sit down with my thoughts,' she continued.
On April 28, 2023, Komoroski, three times over the limit after a day of barhopping, ploughed into a golf-cart carrying newlyweds Aric, 37, and Samantha Hutchinson, 34, from their beach wedding ceremony on Folly Beach, South Carolina.

The vehicle was thrown 100 yards and flipped over several times. The couple were rushed to hospital but Hutchinson succumbed from her injuries and died in her wedding dress.
Her husband was left with serious injuries and had two reconstruction surgeries, as well as suffering numerous broken bones and a brain injury.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Hutchinson's widow, Aric, recalled their final moments together before the fatal crash.
'The last thing I remember her saying was she wanted the night to never end,' he said.
The next thing he knew, he said he was in the hospital asking where his wife was.
'That's when [my mother] told me there's an incident and that Sam didn't make it,' he told ABC.
Komoroski has been indicted on one count of felony DUI resulting in death, two counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury and one count of reckless homicide
However, the couple weren't mentioned at all by Komoroski during her numerous phone calls.
Komoroski has been indicted on one count of felony DUI resulting in death, two counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury and one count of reckless homicide.
Aric filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Komoroski, seeking unspecified damages from the driver and the bars that served her.
In his case, filed in Charleston, he alleged that Komoroski 'bar hopped' before getting behind the wheel.
He is also suing the five bars she's accused of visiting, claiming they served Komoroski alcohol even though she was visibly drunk.
Komoroski's blood alcohol content was 0.261 - more than three times the limit – and she was uncooperative with authorities when she was arrested.
She admitted having two drinks an hour before the smash: a beer and a tequila pineapple cocktail.
Komoroski was seen in exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail.com after he father Charles escorted his hooded daughter out of jail on March 1.
By March 4, he was seen removing packing boxes from the luxury two-bedroom apartment in which, for $1,900 a month, Komoroski will be 'incarcerated' until her trial – a date for which has yet to be set.

Under the strict conditions of her bond Komoroski cannot leave her apartment for anything other than 'medical emergencies' or court appointed dates.
She must wear a GPS and SCRAM ankle bracelet – a device which checks alcohol consumption every thirty minutes by monitoring sweat.
Her mother Traci, 60, father Charles, 60, and brother, also Charles, 23, appeared relaxed and in good spirits as they carried new belongings into her new pad.
While they did this, Komoroski was spotted working out on her balcony, committed to getting back into pre jail shape.
Video exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com showed her performing a series of exercises including jumping jacks and goblet squats.
Komoroski failed to make bond last August when her attorneys offered a host of reasons why she was no flight risk and suggested that she be released into the care of her mother in New Jersey and undergo rehabilitation for an alcohol problem.
Denying bond at the time, the Charleston County judge included the provision that Komoroski would be released on a $150,000 bond if she were still awaiting trial come March 2024 but that she would have to remain in Charleston County.
In another jail call, Komoroski was heard listing off things that she'd like to do once she was out, like going to see the Northern Lights, and visiting the Harry Potter exhibit.

'We need to do that. You get wands...and pretend that we are wizards,' she said to her brother during a December 6 conversation.
Another audio recording, released by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, revealed that Komoroski is in the process of planning her own wedding...even though she faces waiting until at least 2048 to tie the knot.
'I want you to be at my wedding,' Komoroski told her father on the call.
'I want you to walk me down the aisle. I want you to be with me. I want to go on walks with you.'
It is understood that Komoroski is still dating her boyfriend Evan Tatro with the two continuing their relationship over the phone.
If convicted Komoroski could face up to 25 years in prison for the death of the bride, as well of a fine of up to $25,100, and an additional 15 years and $10,100 for the serious injury caused to the men in the gold cart.
For the reckless homicide she could be handed a sentence of 10 years in prison, and a fine of up to $5,000 – as well as having her license revoked for five years on her release.
