Greta Gerwig and her husband Noah Baumbach made a stylish duo as they arrived at the star-studded 96th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday.

The Barbie director, 40, shimmered in a form-hugging low-cut silver gown that cinched in at her waist as she held hands with her other half.

She accessorized her fashionable look with a chunky silver pendant around her neck, and wore her blonde tresses swept to one side.

Meanwhile the Marriage Story director, 54 — whom she married last year — looked dapper in a black suit and bowtie.

Greta was not nominated for best director at the event, despite the success of Barbie.

Greta was also seen embracing Barbie star Margot Robbie ahead of the ceremony.  Margot was also not nominated for best actress at the event.

Last month Greta opened up about her often-discussed Oscar snub for directing Barbie in a new interview.

The filmmaker was nominated for the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar alongside her husband Noah.

However, many fans were upset she wasn't up for Best Director, and that Margot wasn't up for Best Actress, although she did get a nomination for Best Picture as one of the film's producers.

The filmmaker finally spoke about the snub for the first time in a new interview with Time, where she shared a story.

'A friend’s mom said to me, "I can’t believe you didn’t get nominated,"' Gerwig said with a laugh.

'I said, "But I did. I got an Oscar nomination." She was like, "Oh, that’s wonderful for you!" I was like, "I know!"' Gerwig added.

She continued, 'Of course I wanted it for Margot. But I’m just happy we all get to be there together.'

Barbie is up for eight Oscars - Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ryan Gosling), Best Supporting Actress (America Ferrera), Best Adapted Screenplay (Gerwig and Baumbach), Best Production Design (Sarah Greenwood, Katie Spencer), Best Costume Design (Jacqueline Duran) and two for Best Original Song (I'm Just Ken and What Was I Made For?).

While Gerwig started her career as an actress, she ultimately gravitated towards writing and directing.

She co-wrote and starred in films like Hannah Takes the Stairs (which she co-directed with co-writer Joe Swanberg), Nights and Weekends, Northern Comfort, Francis Ha and Mistress America.

2017's Lady Bird was her first as a solo writer and director, which earned her first Oscar nominations for both writing and directing, and earned $79 million from a $10 million budget.

She followed that up with the 2020 adaptation of Little Women, which also earned her a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination, and earned $231 million from a $40 million budget.

Barbie was the biggest movie of the year, taking in $636.2 million domestic and $1.445 billion worldwide from a reported $145 million budget.

Next up for Gerwig are at least two movies based on C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia books for Netflix.

The 96th Academy Awards honors the best films of 2023 - with the glittering ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The most hotly anticipated movies of the past year - Barbie and Oppenheimer - lead the nominations.

Margot, who played the title character Barbie, and director Greta failed to receive individual nods at the Oscars; Margot and Ryan Gosling seen in a still from Barbue

Oppenheimer has bagged 13 nods, including best picture and best actor for Cillian Murphy - who is favorite to win the major category after scooping a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and SAG award for his role as physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer.

The impressive total - which also includes best supporting actor and actress for Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt, as well as best director for Christopher Nolan - is just one nomination short of the all-time record set by Titanic in 1998.

The second most-nominated movie was Poor Things, a graphic art house movie starring Emma Stone that has wowed critics but so-far failed to set the box office alight.

For best actor in leading role Bradley Cooper and Cillian Murphy are set to duke it out for the award. Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright received nominations as well.

Annette Bening, Lily Gladstone, Sandra Huller, Carey Mulligan and Emma Stone have been nominated for best actress in a leading role.

The 96th Academy Awards will be held on March 10 at 7 pm ET/4pm PT live on ABC, hosted for a fourth time by Jimmy Kimmel.
