Ariana Grande channeled her Wicked character, Glinda, in a stunning pink gown as she attended the 96th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood on Sunday.

The Side To Side hitmaker, 30 - who recently revealed that she 'cried herself to sleep' following split from ex Dalton Gomez - joined other celebrities on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre, such as Billie Eilish and Issa Rae

It marked the diva's first red carpet appearance in four years, after last wowing fans at the Grammy Awards in 2020.

The star arrived late to the star-studded ceremony due to traffic while anti-Israel protesters also blocked the route to the venue.

Grande turned heads wearing a fitted, strapless pink gown from Giambattista Valli Haute Couture.

The dress contained ruched material as well as billowing fabric that flowed down into a train behind her for a dramatic flare.

The performer slipped into a pair of closed-toed, pink heels to coincide with the color scheme of her outfit.

Her hair was combed back away from her face and slicked into a chic up do, allowing a few loose strands to fall into her forehead.

Ariana - who was recently the musical guest on Saturday Night Live - accessorized her ensemble with a pair of sparkling, dangly earrings as well as a silver necklace with a pink pendant on the front.

The star's makeup was glammed up for the festivities, and comprised of voluminous lashes as well as a light shadow around her eyes.

A warm blush and contour was added to better accentuate her cheekbones, while a glossy, pink tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.

The beauty struck a variety of poses on the red carpet upon arriving to the theater shortly before the main event commenced.

However, Grande notably arrived late to the ceremony and gave the update to her fans by sharing a selfie of herself to her Instagram stories while sitting inside a vehicle.

She simply added the text, 'traffic,' over the image. Oscar attendees were forced to exit their cars and walk to the Dolby Theatre on Sunday due to pro-Palestine protestors blocking the main route outside.

Along with making a jaw-dropping appearance at the 2024 Oscars on Sunday, Ariana has been keeping busy and notably dropped her latest album, Eternal Sunshine, on March 8th.

Some of the songs that are on the latest LP include the tracks Yes And? as well as The Boy Is Mine.

During a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show, Grande revealed that she didn't initially plan to create new music, but the new album came about during the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes last year.

'I actually was really opposed to coming out with music until after Wicked, either both parts or just one part. I wasn't sure how I would feel,' the songstress explained.

However, she got together with record producer, Max Martin, when Hollywood shut down during the strikes and the production for Wicked was temporarily put on pause.

'It all just kind of started pouring out, and after our first week together, I kept coming to the studio every day by myself.'

'And it just kinda kept organically happening that way, so I just decided to react and listen to that, and I thought maybe it should come out if it's coming out of me this way. Maybe it should be shared this way.'

She also opened up about how she changed over the years since taking on the role of Glinda and also four years after the release of her previous album, Positions (2020).

'I kind of healed a lot of parts of myself alongside and through [Glinda], and it actually helped me heal a lot of my own personal weird stuff that I had with my relationship to music and to being an artist.'

The former Nickelodeon actress continued, 'It all happened absolutely how it was meant to be.'

Earlier this week, Ariana took to her Instagram stories to ask her fans to stop sending 'hateful messages' to people in her life who have been 'misinterpreting' music from her new album.

She typed, 'hi I just wanted to say anyone that is sending hateful messages to the people in my life based on your interpretation of this album is not supporting me and is absolutely doing the polar opposite of what I would ever encourage.'

'I ask that you please do not. It is not how to support me. It is the opposite. Although this album captures a lot of painful moments, it also is woven together with a through line of deep, sincere love.'

Grande concluded with, 'If you cannot hear that, please listen more closely. Thank you.'

Ariana also made an appearance during the latest episode of Saturday Night Live as the musical guest alongside host, Josh Brolin.

She sang the tracks We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love) as well as Imperfect For You during the big night. Grande showed off her acting skills by also appearing in a Moulin Rouge skit with other cast members.
