Al Pacino releasing 'incredibly personal and revealing' memoir Sonny Boy detailing his six-decade career

Penguin Press announced Monday that they'll publish Al Pacino's first-ever memoir detailing his incredible life and six-decade career in show business on October 8.

The 83-year-old acting legend will not only write the tell-all titled Sonny Boy: A Memoir, he'll also narrate the ebook/audiobook which could potentially garner him a Grammy Award.

Al (born Alfredo) is only a Grammy away from elite EGOT status after winning two Tony Awards, an Oscar, and two Emmy Awards for his numerous performances spanning 1969-2004.

'I wrote Sonny Boy to express what I've seen and been through in my life,' Pacino told People on Monday.

'It has been an incredibly personal and revealing experience to reflect on this journey and what acting has allowed me to do and the worlds it has opened up.'

The Bad Bunny video star added: 'My whole life has been a moonshot, and I've been a pretty lucky guy so far.'

Al was nicknamed 'Sonny' back when he was a rebellious teenager attending High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan, which was made famous in Alan Parker's 1980 film Fame.

Pacino eventually learned method acting from Lee Strasberg at The Actors Studio (he remains co-president to this day) and began appearing in off-Broadway plays.

The Harlem-born New Yorker went on to star in some of the most iconic films including The Godfather trilogy, Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, Scent of a Woman, Glengarry Glen Ross, Heat, Donnie Brasco, The Devil's Advocate, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Al has also been honored with Kennedy Center Honor, the American Film Institute Lifetime Achievement Award, and the National Merit of Arts.

Pacino previously penned the forward for author Lawrence Grobel's fully-authorized 288-page biography on him back in 2006.

On the personal front, The Hunters actor welcomed his fourth child - son Roman Alfallah Pacino - on June 6 with his 30-year-old girlfriend since 2022, Noor Alfallah.

Al also fathered a 34-year-old daughter Julia with acting coach Jan Tarrant and 23-year-old fraternal twins (Anton and Olivia) with Emmy nominee Beverly D'Angelo.
