The Delta Chi fraternity member from the University of Missouri had traveled to Tennessee on a group trip for their annual spring formal.
His friends told local media they last saw him around 10pm local time after he was booted out of the bar for undisclosed reasons.
Metro Nashville PD told DailyMail.com his last movements on surveillance footage were on Gay Street close to the Cumberland River.
The department later released a 44-second clip showing him walking across the street in a two-tone shirt, stumbling and appearing confused.

Police have been using a helicopter to scour the downtown Nashville area, including the riverbank.
Riley's stepfather Christopher Whiteid said he told his fraternity brothers he was on his way back to their hotel as he left the bar.
However, he never returned and his worried friends couldn't find him using his Snapchat location, while their phone calls went to voicemail.
They reported him missing on Saturday and authorities launched a search.
His last cellphone location was recorded between Gay Street and James Robertson Parkway close to the bar where he was last seen, according to WKRN-TV.
Police have attempted to locate his phone but have drawn a blank, while also checking local hospitals and jails.
His stepfather said surveillance footage indicated that he might have taken a wrong turn on his way back to the hotel.
Riley's mother Michelle Whiteid said he's 'a great kid' and normally 'very communicative'.
'We miss him and we want him back so bad,' she told WKRN-TV.
'He's always texting me, calling me, FaceTiming me,' she added. 'He's always in touch with me. He's very communicative.'
