Andrew Tate has insisted that he and his brother, Tristan Tate, are 'innocent' and blames 'satanists' after learning he will be extradited to the UK.

The pair appeared at the court of appeal in Bucharest where it was ruled they would be extradited following the conclusion of legal proceedings in Romania.

Both Tate, 37, and Tristan, 35, 'unequivocally deny' allegations of rape and human trafficking which date back to 2012-2015.

Speaking to reporters outside court following the ruling, Andrew Tate told reporters: 'I want to give absolute credit to Romanian justice for making the correct decision today.

'Unfortunately I don't think many people in Romania understand, but in the West, in the countries that are owned by the satanists, when you get to a certain level of fame you either put on a dress or you go to jail and I'm happy to make my choice which is jail every single time, my soul is not for sale neither are my principles.

'We're very innocent men and in time everybody's going to see that.

'We are excited to finish this judicial process and clear our names.'

The pair were released from police custody following the hearing after they were arrested yesterday evening on allegations of sexual aggression in a UK case dating back to 2012-2015, their representative said.

Bedfordshire Police said earlier today that it had obtained a European arrest warrant and that it is working with authorities in Romania as part of an investigation into allegations of rape and human trafficking against Tate and his brother.

The pair were first indicted for rape and human trafficking charges in Romania in June last year, but their case is still being discussed in the preliminary chamber stages and no trial dates have yet been set. They deny the allegations.

Lawyers representing four women who accuse Tate of rape and sexual assault said they wrote to UK police to request his detention over fears he would flee Romania.

In response to the claims made by law firm McCue Jury & Partners, Tate's spokeswoman said: 'We unequivocally deny any accusations that Andrew or Tristan Tate intends to abscond from Romania to evade the judicial proceedings.

'Our clients are fully committed to actively participating in the legal process and defending their reputation.

'We believe this rumour has originated from a popular online influencer who misconstrued a text message from our clients while streaming live. There is simply no truth to it.'

The law firm said the four British accusers were the subject of an investigation by Hertfordshire Constabulary.

The Hertfordshire investigation was closed in 2019.

In response to the court of appeal's ruling today, Eugen Vidineac, one of the lawyers representing the Tate brothers, said: 'We appreciate the Bucharest Court of Appeal's decision to postpone the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate.

'This ruling provides an opportunity for the brothers to participate fully in their defence and for the legal process to proceed in a transparent manner.'

Detectives in Romania moved in to arrest Tate after a blogger released a video claiming that he 'planned to leave' the country and 'never return'.

British lawyers representing women who were allegedly raped and sexually assaulted by the former kickboxer passed the video to authorities in Romania and the UK who acted on it immediately.

There were fears Tate was secretly planning to flee the country and escape justice by heading to a country that has no extradition laws with Romania or Britain and so police there acted immediately.

In the video, blogger Adin Ross described how he had been in contact with Tate in recent days and they had discussed him coming to Romania to film an interview with the multi millionaire.

Ross told his viewers 'this is ****ing peaking' before adding that Tate had told him: 'Hey, I'm going to be leaving Romania soon and never coming back.'

He said that Tate added: 'So if you want to come and see me it's basically now or never.'

The Tate brothers are currently banned from leaving Romania while being investigated by authorities there on sex and people trafficking charges.

Both had been under house arrest but this condition was later removed but they must remain in the country.

A request to leave Bucharest and visit their mother in Luton who had suffered a heart attack was denied at Christmas by officials.

Online streamer Ross was one of five people who had originally been given permission to visit Tate but this was later overturned.

Ross later posted on social media: 'Joe Biden please go ahead and pardon Andrew Tate.'

MailOnline can also reveal that the police force who asked for the brothers to be arrested is Bedfordshire and it relates to new allegations made against the brothers since their high profile arrest.

Speaking as he arrived at court one of the Tate legal team, Eugen Vidineac, said: 'We have very few information, regarding this warrant.

'We don't know what this is all about, as far as we know the investigation from 2012 was closed, but we don't know if it's been reopened with a new investigation.'

There were unconfirmed reports that judges had postponed the hearing as prosecutors had requested for both brothers to remain in custody pending the end of the Romanian investigation.

Law firm McCue Jury & Partners, who are representing four women who have accused Tate of rape and sexual assault, said in a statement: 'Last week, we received information that Tate might have been planning to flee Romania, where he is due to stand trial for separate allegations of rape and human trafficking.

'We wrote to the British police to bring this to their attention and to urge them to immediately seek a warrant for Tate's detention in Romania and extradition to the UK.'

Andrew Tate, who gained millions of fans by promoting an ultra-masculine lifestyle, was indicted in June in Romania along with his brother and two Romanian women for human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women. They have denied the charges.

The case has since been with the Bucharest court's preliminary chamber, which needs to decide whether the trial can start. A decision has yet to be made, with Romanian courts backlogged.

In response to their arrest today, the spokesman for the Tate brothers added: 'The suggestion that Mr Tate's rise to fame may have played a role in these developments adds another layer of distress and concern.

'Andrew and Tristan Tate unequivocally deny all allegations and decry what they perceive as an exploitative use of the legal system.

A social media account associated with Tate this morning shared a simple post: 'The Matrix is afraid. I only fear God'. Tate has previously said he uses the term 'The Matrix' to refer to 'the systems which are being created by society that are 'deliberately designed to enslave', in a reference to the 1999 film

'They are fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve.

'The brothers emphasise their belief in a fair and impartial legal process, despite the unsettling circumstances surrounding their case.

'In the face of adversity, the Tate brothers draw strength from the support of their loved ones, friends, and legal team.

'They appeal for a fair examination of the facts, expressing confidence that a thorough review will reveal the baselessness of the allegations against them.'

Tate was first arrested near Bucharest on human trafficking and rape charges along with his brother and two Romanian women, Luana Radu and Georgiana Naghel.

Romanian prosecutors formally indicted all four in June last year and they have denied the allegations.

The case is still being discussed in the preliminary chamber stages, a process in which the defendants can challenge prosecutors' evidence and case file. No trial dates have been set.

Tate, who has amassed 8.9 million followers on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, has repeatedly claimed that prosecutors have no evidence against him and that there is a political conspiracy to silence him.

A self-described misogynist, he was previously banned from various prominent social media platforms for expressing sexist views and for hate speech.

After their arrest, the Tate brothers were held for three months in police detention before being moved to house arrest.

They were later restricted to the areas of Bucharest Municipality and nearby Ilfov County. Currently, they are not permitted to leave Romania.
