Philadelphia police have pictured two people arrested in connection to a mass shooting that left eight teenagers injured while they were waiting for a SEPTA bus.

Jamaal Tucker and Anhile Buggs, both 18-years-old, have been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, weapons offenses and other charges for Wednesday's shooting. Two other suspects are still being sought.

Philadelphia police said the discovery of the stolen car involved in the shooting led them to Tucker, who turned himself in on Friday.

Federal marshals searched a location linked to Buggs on Saturday and recovered the .40-caliber Glock that matched casings found at the scene.

'These defendants are potentially facing an enormous amount of time in custody,' Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said.

'When you have eight different cases where you have engaged in atrocious violence, that is to be expected.'

Both 18-year-olds are being held on more than $2 million bail and have preliminary hearings scheduled for March 20.

Police are still looking for at least two more suspects involved in Wednesday shooting that put a 16-year-old student in critical condition after being shot nine times, reported 6ABC.

Seven other victims - including two 15-year-olds, four 16-year-olds, and a 17-year-old - were shot and wounded.

Six victims from Northeast High School were listed in stable condition, while the other two remain in critical but stable condition, police said.

'I'm not going to get into the specifics, but we are not done until any group involved in this kind of conduct...(does) not exist anymore,' Krasner said.

'And that is exactly where this investigation needs to go. It's not about a single incident. It's about every other incident that has any connection to it and making sure that people who will do this kind of thing are not in a position to do it anymore.'

Detectives have seized a blue 2019 Hyundai Sonata that matches the suspected 'getaway car' captured on surveillance camera.

The vehicle was discovered in the city's Olney neighborhood on Wednesday night and has been taken to a nearby impound lot, according to the police.

Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said that eight students, aged between 15 and 17, were shot after three suspects exited the vehicle near a Dunkin Donuts and fired more than 30 shots at the SEPTA bus stop near Rising Sun and Cottman avenues.

'At some point when the bus is pulling up and the kids are converging to get on the bus, three individuals exit that vehicle and then discharges multiple times,' Bethel said.

'I'm not shocked because things like this have happened in the past. The only thing that really shocked me is that I happen to be a victim of it,' said one of the victims, who did not want to be identified.

'It's like a scene out of a movie, an action movie. Everything happened so fast. You have to be on your toes consistently if you want to make it out of a situation like that,' he said.

'As I was running, I felt a burning sensation in my back, but I ignored it because of adrenaline. But as I stopped, it just felt like I might of got shot.'

Investigators are working to determine if the Wednesday shooting is connected to another shooting on March 4, where Dayemen Taylor, 17, was killed when gunfire rang out near a bus stop near the Ognotz and Godfrey avenues in Northern Philly.

Authorities have asked for the public's help identifying the suspects in the shooting and released surveillance video of the gunmen getting out of the car before opening fire.

Video shows a dark blue Hyundai Elantra pulling into a Dunkin Donuts parking lot. Moments later, three suspects dressed in all black, wearing face masks, charge out of the car as the driver quickly reverses the vehicle with the doors still open.

The video then turns to another angle and shows the moment the gunmen draw their weapons and shoot as the bus pulls up.

The unidentified suspects then run back to the car that meets them near the bus and swiftly flees the scene.

Before confiscating the 'getaway' car, police said that the paper license plates that were originally attached the vehicle were replaced with temporary plates.

In a bystander video shared on social media, two to three school kids are seen on the wet ground as people around them panic and try to help.

One male student, seen in khaki pants and a black zipper hoodie is seen wincing on the ground as he holds his bloody leg.

The transportation system said a Route 18 bus and a Route 67 bus were struck by gunfire near the scene of the shooting and have advised people to avoid the area as they investigate the incident.

Northeast High School students returned to class on Monday for the first time since the shooting.

'In order to provide more small group and individualized support, we will have students return to in-person learning in two shifts,' said Northeast High's principal Omar Crowder.

Juniors and Seniors were the first students back to in-person learning, then Freshman and Sophomores will return to the school on Tuesday.

'The School District of Philadelphia's Emergency Crisis Response Team of the Office of Prevention and Intervention, including crisis counselors, will be on-site to support our students with grief counseling and whatever emotional assistance they need,'

'Please know that the District is working closely with the Philadelphia Police Department every day to keep a close eye on what's going on in our communities and provide extra resources when needed to support the safety of our schools, staff and students.'
