UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman has been taken to hospital in critical condition after rescuing his mother and father from a house fire, just seconds before the roof of the home collapsed.

The 59-year-old, first UFC Heavyweight champion, who beat legends like Stephan Bonnar, Gary Goodridge, and Don Frye back in the 1990s, saved his parents' lives on Tuesday morning in Toledo, Ohio, when he pulled them out of their home after they were trapped in an inferno.

Coleman first retrieved his mother and father from the burning home, then got them to a safe area before returning for his pup.

According to Jonathan Snowden, of MMA Encyclopedia, Coleman's dog woke up the fighter to a house in flames, but didn't make it, multiple sources have reported.

Coleman is now intubated and sedated after being airlifted to hospital in Fremont, according to 'MMA Detective' Mark Davis, who shared a picture of the retired mixed martial artist in bad shape on Instagram on Tuesday.
