Chynna Phillips has admitted that many of her friends have 'rejected' her over her strict Christian views - weeks after she revealed that her love of Jesus had taken a toll on her marriage to Billy Baldwin.

The former musician, 56, who converted to Christianity in 2022, spoke out about 'how painful it is' for her to have 'family members, friends, and co-workers' who don't share the same religious views as her in a recent video shared to her faith-based YouTube channel, California Preachin'.

She described knowing that some of her loved ones 'hadn't been saved' by Jesus as 'debilitating and crippling' while chatting with her pal and fellow Christian, Becket Cook.

'Just knowing how many people around the world are not saved, it's actually torture,' she said.

'When you think about it too long, it can really start to play games with your mind.'

Chynna explained that after she 'was saved by Jesus' in 2022, she sat all of her friends down to try to convince them to do the same.

But in the end, she said many of them 'rejected' her newfound point of view.

'I sat my friends down to talk about [my faith] and about a quarter of the way through, it didn't take long, I saw this kind of glaze come over their eyes,' she recalled.

'As loving and as gentle and graceful as I tried to be, I could see in their eyes that there was this aversion to what I was saying.'

She revealed that 'a few' of them seemed 'receptive' at first, so she ended up 'baptizing them in her bathtub' - but in the end, they didn't end up 'following through.'

The star added that she's 'so gutted' over her friends' reactions, before she and Becket decided to say a prayer for them.

'I thought it would be a good idea to pray for all the unsaved souls,' she concluded in the video. 'For all of our friends and family who are unsaved.

'Lord you know how debilitating it can be at times for us it's crippling, so we ask you father to help us to remember that at the end of the day truly it's in your hands.'

Back in January, Chynna candidly admitted her faith had caused a serious 'rupture' in her relationship with her husband, Billy, 61.

The two sat down for an unflinchingly honest on-screen discussion about their marital problems, and they said the former socialite's dedication to Jesus had become a 'glaring issue' that left Billy questioning whether the are going to 'make it in the long run.'

'You and I have this sort of systemic problem in our relationship, which we have been very honest about from the beginning, which is that you see your life and the world through a very different lens than I do,' Chynna said to Billy.

'Sometimes that tends to cause ruptures and little chasms in our relationship, and we are trying our best to navigate those differences.

'The Christianity aspect has been sort of a glaring issue for a while because [religion] has sort of overtaken my life in many ways.

'It has perhaps even made you question whether you and I can really make it in the long run.

'You would never divorce me over it - but [I think you wonder], "Will we be able to stay truly happy and connected and thrive with me being on this Jesus trajectory?"'

In early January, Chynna posted another video discussing the divide that her faith had caused in her marriage to Billy.

At the time, the mom-of-three said she and the actor had 'separated for six months,' but she didn't specify when the break occurred.

She also claiming that her religion had sparked a 'power struggle' between her and her husband, who she wed in 1995 and has welcomed three kids with.

In a separate video, Chynna claimed that her religion had sparked a 'power struggle' between her and her husband

She shared, 'I've been with Billy for 32 years and we have an awesome marriage but we definitely had the hardest couple years of our marriage these past couple of years, it has been a real struggle.

'I think it's because I just took the deep dive into Jesus and I think he didn't quite know what to do with that because it was kind of all Jesus all the time.

'We sort of had a power struggle. The Bible says that [wives] are supposed to submit and [men] are the head and that's all true, but it also says that the man is supposed to treat the wife like the church and all of that so I think that I was just struggling with that.'

Chynna also said that she and Billy feel like they have very little in common lately.

'Sometimes he's like, "You're not into the things that I'm into. You're not into politics, you're not into wrestling, you're not into the philanthropy things that I do,"' she continued.

'We did a couple of things together and that was amazing and very fulfilling but we've never really found that one thing that the two of us can latch on to and do together as a team and so I'm praying in 2024 that we're going to find that one thing that the two of us can do together that feels really fulfilling.

'I am not 23 years old anymore, I met him when I was 23 and I'm changing. I'm growing, you know?

'I'm not the same person I was 30 years ago and I refuse to have the same marriage that we had 30 years ago. It's time for us to mature and grow.'
