Millie Bobby Brown's newest Netflix movie Damsel may have been panned by viewers but there is at least one aspect of it that critics say deserves 'applause': her makeup.
The 20-year-old's latest on-screen collaboration with the streaming giant has received mixed reviews at best, however some eagle-eyed viewers have noted that - while the storyline might be 'cheesy' - Millie's 'flawless' glam, which remains intact even through brutal fight scenes, is worthy of high praise.
In the adventure movie Millie, who plays the part of Princess Elodie, is put through the ringer as she attempts to escape the clutches of a vicious dragon, becoming more and more disheveled as the story plays out.
The British actress did all of her own stunts in the action movie, including scaling a rock wall, clawing through a cave, and riding horses with an enormous sword in hand.
Millie Bobby Brown, 20, is starring in the Netflix movie Damsel - and viewers are conflicted about her character's makeup, which remains perfectly intact throughout the adventure film

Despite the adventurous stunts, the The Stranger Things star managed to keep her makeup intact - leading social media users to point out how distracting the glow was
At the end of the film, not only is her glam still on - she's somehow received a smokier eye and red lip, despite being trapped in a cave for days
But while Princess Elodie's time in the dragon's cave sees her growing increasingly blood-covered and filthy, her makeup not only remains pristine - it actually gets all the more intense with each passing scene, leaving viewers both baffled and impressed.
'MBB's makeup is crazy on point even when she's half dead deep inside a cave,' one flabbergasted viewer noted. 'Sheltering in a field of lava, it looks like she just did a GRWM!!'
The movie begins when Princess Elodie agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to discover that his family intends to sacrifice her to repay an ancient debt.
Elodie then finds herself trapped in a cave with a fire-breathing dragon - and throughout the movie, she loses pieces of her dress until she's in a strapless mini.
But it wasn't just the flirty frock that viewers have taken issue with; many were curious why a medieval princess would be wearing a full face of makeup at all times.
The questions started at the beginning of the movie, when a viewer on X (formerly Twitter) asked, 'Why is Millie Bobby Brown cutting wood with a full face of makeup on?'
Another person tweeted, 'I watched #Damsel and it was pretty good action fun, but I've never seen a movie f**k up makeup so badly. MBB's makeup is crazy on point even when she's half dead deep inside a cave. Sheltering in a field of lava, it looks like she just did a GRWM!!'
Some had problems with her heavy eyeliner and red lips, with one writing, 'Millie was wearing way too much makeup for a girl who's trying to survive, dirty and sweaty, like come on, that perfect eyeliner and lipstick.'
'Thoroughly enjoyed #Damsel and I wish my makeup looked half as good in my daily life as hers looked after fighting a dragon underground for days,' an X user joked.
Another Netflix viewer described her look as 'borderline distracting modern makeup' as another asked, 'seriously why is her makeup in this medieval movie so snatched?'

However, not everyone who watched the fantasy film, which is currently the top Netflix movie, disliked the distracting beauty routine.
'Who ever did Milly Bobby Brown's makeup in Damsel needs a raise cause her face was beat from beginning to end,' a viewer remarked, as even when she's covered in grime she still has her lipstick on.
'Whichever lipstick Millie Bobby Brown used for #Damsel should be applauded. Kept the shine and colour intact even when the woman went through dirt, fire and even fought a dragon,' another encouraged.
On Reddit, the response was similar, as people were deeply confused by Millie having 'full glam makeup on' calling it 'totally out of context with the character and type of movie.'
'I thought the same thing. After 2 days in the cave she had still perfect make-up and a lot of it,' another commenter agreed.
