Power Rangers actor Austin St John has sparked outrage with plans to launch a line of t-shirts featuring Hitler quotes stating the warmonger 'had some pretty good one-liners'.
The star, who played the Red Ranger in the 90s TV show, is hoping to produce a range of 'warrior' shirts featuring slogans from famous historic figures.
'Hitler was a demon on steroids, but he had some pretty good one-liners,' St John told the Toon'd In With Jim Cummings podcast last month.
The German autocrat is responsible for the murder of 11 million people including six million Jews during the Holocaust.
St. John, whose real name is Jason Lawrence Geiger, explained the t-shirt line will feature, 'everybody from the great ones to the infamous and terrible ones'.

He said that while Hitler was a 'demon' he 'had some pretty good one-liners' he would like to feature on his shirts
But the plans have been met with a fierce backlash among social media users accusing him of insensitivity.
'Dude just stop. Scrap the idea and move on. You're wrong on this, just move forward,' one user wrote.
'I'm done following you. I'm cutting ties with you, shame on you to think you were the OG Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger!' Another added.
While one person said: 'It's one thing to study the ideology of dictators to understand how and why wars and atrocities happened, it's another thing entirely to try and monetize quotes from them. A context less quote isn't doing anyone any favors.'
Fellow Power Rangers co-star Amy Jo Johnson, who played Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart also waded in to the controversy to take a swipe at St. John.
'Hmmm? I think some people should have publicists. Dear me,' she tweeted on Monday.
Amid speculation she was referring to St. John she added, 'Rogue Red Ranger has an entire new meaning. Okay I'll stop now.'
In a post on his Facebook describing the product, St. John refers to the t-shirts as 'wearable wisdom'.

St. John has not yet indicated which Hitler 'one-liners' he plans to use and the garments are currently not listed for sale on his website.
St. John rose to fame playing Jason Lee Scott in the Power Rangers franchise in the original, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
He left the show in its second season over pay but returned for guest appearances. The show was on the air from 1993 until 1996.
He also starred in the 1997 movie Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie and in 2017, he made a cameo in the movie Surge of Power: Revenge of the Sequel.
In 2018, he appeared in the TV movie Monsters At Large as well as the movie A Walk With Grace.
