Bad actors have seized on a frenzy of interest around actress Sydney Sweeney on X.
Scammers have bombarded the platform with malware links when people search for photos of Sweeney's famous bust, which was on display at Thursday’s GLAAD Media Awards.
The posts feature a link that claims to take curious users to her explicit photos but redirects people to a site teeming with malware waiting to infect computers.
Cybersecurity experts said if you have clicked one of the links hoping to see Sweeney bear it all, you should close the page and install an ad blocker immediately.
Actress Sydney Sweeney is taking over X - but not because she put her voluptuous cleavage on display at Thursday’s GLAAD Media Awards
The malicious ‘Sydney Sweeney Leak’ campaign was spotted by 404Media earlier this week, but the posts are still flooding the Elon Musk-owned platform that does not have specific regulations for such content.
The links take users to Linktree sites, which lets people create personalized pages for links they want to share on platforms.
The posts also include a blurred video or images of the actress that makes it seem like whoever shared it truly has Sweeney’s nude images.
404Media found the links redirect users to sites like thaudray.com and waufooke.com, which shoot out malicious popups upon arrival.
Cyber security firm Malwarebyte has warned that people being redirected to certain sites risk clicking on an “unwanted browser extension or a malicious program”.
‘Your browser may be redirected to Waufooke.com due to malware infection on your device, push notifications from malicious sites, or by being redirected from another website you visited,’ the experts shared in a blog post.
Users on the platform are in a search frenzy for her nudes, sparking countless of posts featuring ‘Sydney Sweeney Leak'

‘Less reputable sites may display malicious ads that redirect your browser to Waufooke.com in order to generate advertising revenue.
“If this happens, you should close the page and consider installing an ad blocker, like AdGuard, to block these types of ads. If you continue to see pop-ups from Waufooke.com, it is possible that your computer is infected with a malicious program, and you should scan your device for adware and remove it.”
Sweeney attended the GLAAD Media Awards last night, baring her world-famous décolletage in a slinky ice-blue dress with a dangerously plunging neckline.
The 26-year-old screen, who shot to fame flashing the flesh on the racy HBO series Euphoria, also hosted Saturday Night Live on March 3.
Sweeney stepped onto the stage wearing a figure-hugging, white dress that clung to her toned frame and was greeted by cheers from the live audience.

The star is from a rural town on the Idaho border but has transformed into an All-America image in the last few months due to her role in HBO’s Euphoria and The White Lotus.
Speaking of her upbringing, she said in 2022: 'It's a different way of life out there. It's very simple. Family is everything.'
Sweeney, who was her class' valedictorian, threw herself into a slew of extracurricular activities and was on her school's football, baseball, snow slalom ski and robotics teams.
She also juggled wakeboarding, golf, softball, skiing, and dirt biking, and was even a member of an academic club called Math Is Cool.
The Idaho native got her start in Hollywood guest starring on many television shows including Criminal Minds, 90210, Kickin' It, and Grey's Anatomy.
After getting her foot in the door Sweeney began to land some bigger roles, firstly in the second season of the enormous hit The Handmaid's Tale.
She appeared in seven episodes of The Handmaid's Tale season two as Eden Blaine.
But her big break came in 2019 when Euphoria aired for the first time.
The show is the cable channel's most-watched show after Game of Thrones.
Starring Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Shafer, Angus Cloud and Sweeney, the series redefined high school dramas for GenZ.
At first, she was told she wasn't right for the role of Cassie - a sweet and popular girl who is deeply insecure and sleeps around.
She was told not to bother coming into even audition.
Her agent fought for her and she submitted a tape and the rest is history.
Next up she starred in HBO Max satirical murder dramedy The White Lotus.
Sweeney played cynical college sophomore Olivia Mossbacher, daughter of Mark Mossbacher (Steve Zahn) and Nicole Mossbacher (Connie Britton) in the series.
And she remains happily engaged to her fiancé Jonathan Davino, despite sparking unsubstantiated affair rumors with her co-star Glen Powell.
