A street performer in NYC's Times Square was 'vanquished' with a shin kick by a young Captain America - but it sent the comedian flying into a nearby musician.

New York comedian Esteban Romero portrayed his famous character named 'Dontarius' in a 2022 video that he re-posted on his Instagram yesterday.

In the video, Dontarius was begging a woman for money while wearing raggedy gray sweatpants.

After she angrily blew him off, a little boy dressed as Captain America kicked Dontarius in the shin, which caused him to fall on a musician.

The young superhero continued to chase after Dontarius afterward and repeatedly hit him with his shield.

It's unclear if anyone got hurt, but it appears in the recently resurfaced video that everyone involved got away unharmed.

Romero's 'Dontarius' has starred in a variety of viral videos over the last few years since beginning his comedy career in 2003.

Interestingly enough, Romero had things in common with his character Dontarius as he himself was homeless for a few years.

'I’ve been a bum, I’ve been homeless,' he told the New York Post in 2022.

Romero revealed he squatted in a Brooklyn building from 2013 to 2019 and slept on the subway.

His character Dontarius has been featured in videos that were filmed in New York City subway stations. One notable video that went viral on social media in 2023 was of his character going up against Spider-Man in a subway station on Utica Avenue.

Spider-Man ultimately won and it led to Romero's 'Dontarius' being pulled down the stairs by the superhero.

Romero also posted one additional video of his Dontarius character in a subway yesterday and he wasn't exactly begging for money.

Instead, Dontarius was angry at a passenger who stepped on his new sneakers.

Romero began yelling and screaming and eventually pushed the passenger up against the doors and threw him out the subway.

Since he shared the videos, Instagram users have added several laughing emojis in the comment sections.

Social media users have enjoyed watching the videos Romero has posted over the years and have commented on the original and new post of his video that was filmed in Times Square

Instagram users who haven't given laughing emojis have mentioned the little boy and the woman featured in the video.

'A woman with standards, rare,' one user joked in the comment section.

Some Instagram users who commented on the original 2022 video revealed how they recognize Dontarius.

'Ayo that’s the same man that stole that rice from that woman on the train,' a person wrote.

One Instagrammer was quick realizing the video itself was a joke and that everything was planned.
