Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker revealed why he wore a tie with a Latin pro-life phrase written on it to the Chiefs' Super Bowl celebration at the White House last year.

Butker can be seen wearing the tie directly behind President Joe Biden. Butker's pro-life stance is in direct opposition of the Biden administrations pro-choice policies.

The topic of a national abortion ban in America has ramped up over the last two years, since a Republican-heavy Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade, which legalized abortion in the United States.

Butker's protest took place last June, as the Chiefs celebrating winning last year's Super Bowl.

The date for another Kansas City championship celebration at the White House in honor of its victory over the San Francisco 49ers is expected for late spring, but has not been announced.

Butker said he has no plans for another silent protest of the Biden administration's pro-choice stance, but 'a lot of thought' went into last year's message.

'I thought "Wow this is an amazing place." Unfortunately, there's some laws being pushed through I don't think value all human life and one of those laws is allowing abortion to be legal in this country,' Butker said Tuesday.

'So to have a tie that in Latin I thought brought attention to the unborn, because I am trying to learn more Latin, with going to the Latin mass, I picked "Vulnerari Praesidio" which is to protect the most vulnerable,' Butker added.

'The unborn are, to me, the greatest victims in our society. They don't have a voice, they don't necessarily look like humans, they're not very big, they cant fight for themselves,' Butker continued.

Butker and his wife, Isabelle Butker, have been open about the couple going through three miscarriages together, but continuing to try to have more children.

'There's not as lot of people that are fighting for them and I just think it's a great atrocity that's occurring in this country with mascaraing the unborn,' Butker added.

'And I felt like there's no better place to send this message to the masses and represent the unborn at a place like the White House, where unfortunately their voice is not heard,' Butker concluded.

Harrison and Isabelle were married in 2018 and have two children.
