A Georgia couple has been arrested after police say they found them passed out drunk on a Florida beach as their two young children ran wild.

Alyssia Langley, 27, and her fiancé, Timothy Stephens, 27, were arrested and charged with child neglect. Stephens also faces charges for trying to escape police, and for having alcoholic beverages on the beach, according to online arrest records, Fox 35News reported.

The sunburned couple were out cold along the beach Saturday, when deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff's office, approached them, a moment shown in body cam footage released by the department.

It reportedly took deputies at least eight tries to wake up the highly intoxicated pair.

When they finally came to, and were asked where their kids were, the couple did not appear to have a clue. The children - aged 5 and 7 - were later found in the pool area, unsupervised but safe.

An open beer can was found near Stephens' hand, as well as multiple empty beer cans and an empty bottle of whiskey in a cooler nearby,' and other various, unsealed alcoholic beverages in the immediate vicinity,' according to an arrest affidavit.

At one point, Langley tells the officers that her kids are 'right there' as she points at the shoreline. A deputy follows Stephens to the waves as he looks for his children.

Langley and Stephens are engaged, but according to the arrest affidavit, Stephens is not the biological father, but the children's legal guardian.

In a video obtained, a visibly agitated Langley is heard telling her fiancée, 'Who the f*** is going to bail us out?'

She calls the cops 'd***heads' and said the only one has been nice to the couple. She said they were going to jail and her grandpa had to drive eight hours for the kids.

As officers told Langley to get in their vehicle, Stephens took off running while cuffed. He only made it a few dozen feet while being chased by deputies before falling face first into the sand.

His bruises were clearly seen in his mugshot after his arrest.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood shared his angst with Fox 35 Orlando.

'It just boggles my mind that you would drive here and get obliterated and allow a 5- and a 7-year-old to wander off,' he said.

'When we wonder what we see, why kids are the way they are, you gotta take a step back and look at who's in charge.

And clearly, these two clowns shouldn't be in charge of ... they can't be in charge of themselves, let alone a five-year-old or a seven-year-old,' he said.
