The Irish firefighter accused of raping a woman in Boston has a history of disturbing social media posts, including one where he said he wanted to visit Europe's 'most underreported rape capital' and another where he said he would 'rupture his wife's cervix.'
Terrence Crosbie, 37, was arrested for the alleged rape of a sleeping 28-year-old woman early on Friday - just hours after he arrived in Massachusetts with fellow members of the Dublin Fire Brigade to celebrate St Patrick's Day.
The married father-of-two's social media offers glimpses into behavior not worthy of a public servant or the respected Dublin Fire Brigade.
Back in 2017, Crosbie wrote about wanting to visit Amsterdam and see a soccer game before adding a questionable comment.
'Ajax away be a descent trip,' he wrote on X. '6ft blondes & most unreported rape capital of Europe sure even if it's Vigo vs Lyon be worth a trip.'

More recently, on October 10, 2021, he had a NSFW birthday message for his wife of nine years Ciara.

It's not clear whether the posts violate the Dublin Fire Brigade's code of conduct.

Crosbie has been charged with rape and ordered held on $100,000 bail
The alleged victim told police Crosbie sexually assaulted her at the historic Omni Parker House after she had consensual sex with the colleague he was sharing the hotel room with.
Crosbie was reportedly seen on surveillance footage entering the hotel room about two hours after the alleged victim and his roommate entered. He then allegedly began sexually assaulting the woman, who told police she told him to stop but he said, 'This guy is sleeping. I know you want this.'

Officials said Crosbie was scheduled to return to Dublin on Tuesday, after arriving with his colleagues on Thursday, but booked a flight for 10.10pm on Saturday following his interview with police.
He then boarded an even earlier flight at about 7pm from Logan International Airport.
Crosbie has been charged with rape and ordered held on $100,000 bail.
If he posts bail, he has orders not to leave the state of Massachusetts and his passport has been taken.
The firefighter's social media accounts show a husband and father who appears to be an active member of the Dublin community.
He posted a picture of his passport next to a beer on his now-deleted X account on Thursday, when he traveled to the US with his colleagues.

'As always in these matters, the willingness of the victim to come forward is crucial. This victim deserves enormous credit for doing that in this case,' said Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden.
'I’m grateful for the alertness of police in finding out that Mr. Crosbie was attempting to leave the country before he could be held accountable for his actions.'
Crosbie is due back in court on April 16.
