A Miami woman was seen screaming in pain and urging officers to 'get that b***h' after both her arms were mauled by a dog while walking her Yorkie, Ponchita.

The shocking aftermath of the March 11 attack in West Palm Beach was caught on camera and showed Liliana Marbles bleeding and clutching her tiny dog to her chest while she spoke to police.

Marbles was walking to a nearby 7-Eleven when a pit bull, named Diamond, ran at her and latched onto her arm, trying to get to Ponchita.

The pit bull's owner pulled the dog off her and ran around the corner with it, in what she claimed was an attempt to calm the dog down.

Police arrived and a weeping Marbles screamed at them to 'go get that b***h' - meaning the vicious pooch - before she was hospitalized with serious injuries to her arms and cuts on her body.

The shocking attack occurred on the morning of March 11.

Marbles said she was walking towards the 7-Eleven when she saw a pit bull about 30 meters away that seemed to be off its leash.

She told NBC Miami: 'I see a lady with a pit bull. But I didn't even pay attention to her because who would imagine that something would happen?'

Then she heard shouting, she said: 'All of a sudden, I hear a bark, and I hear a scream: "Hold your dog!" I turn around, and I see a beast coming.'

She said the pit bull then charged at her and Ponchita, so she quickly picked up Ponchita. According to West Palm Beach Police, Marbles was then knocked over, and the pit bull locked onto her arms.

A bystander intervened and kicked the pit bull to stop the attack, before calling 911.

Police arrived to help Marbles who was screaming and crying, bleeding from both arms.

Bodycam footage showed an officer taking Ponchita from her to bandage her up - as she tells him to go and catch the pit bull. He responded: 'My sergeant will go get it'.

The first responder is seen getting a first aid kit out of the police car, before carefully stopping Marbles' bleeding while trying to calm her down.

He also placed her little Yorkie in the backseat of the police car during the ordeal.

Frantic Marbles, who was crying and wailing, was also on the phone with someone at the same time, recalling her horrific encounter with the pit bull.

The police bodycam footage showed the officers finding the pit bull's owner, Amanda Bethea, 38, sat around the corner from the scene of the attack.

She told them that Diamond was two-years-old and had just come from a pound 'a few weeks ago'. She said she had her on a leash, but it had 'slipped out of my hand'.

The owner said: 'I was holding her, she snatched out of my hand... she's strong. The lady picked up her dog, I hit her, I hit my dog to make her stop.

'I'm screaming for someone to call 911, please call the police. And I went around the side of the building, I just wanted to get out of sight because she was freaking out.

'All I did was get out of sight, and a man was threatening me, chasing me. All I wanted to do was get her away from the sight because it was exciting her, the dog.'

She added: 'I punched her, I hit her to get her off, to try and get her to come back.'

Diamond was impounded by Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, pending their investigation.

Marbles was taken to hospital where she underwent surgery, she is expecting to need more than three months of physical therapy and recovery.
