The Colombian singer, 47, released her long-awaited 12th album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, on Friday, which translates into Women Don't Cry Anymore.
Dubbed her 'revenge album', fans were sent into a frenzy after she took a swipe at ex Gerard Pique and his girlfriend in the lyrics.
Shakira previously refused to change lyrics in her new releases about her ex as she explained she has a 'right to work on my emotions through my music' and will not change her recent tracks.

Shakira and Gerard, 37, announced their split after 11 years together in June, 2022, after she learnt he had allegedly been unfaithful. They share two sons - Milan, 11, and Sasha, nine - together.
In her track Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53. with Argentine DJ Bizarrap, she sings: 'I'm too big for you', which appears to be a dig at her ex and his girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.
The pop star belts out 'I'm too big for you, that's why you're with someone just like you' in an apparent relationship to Gerard's romance.
Last August it was reported that Gerard's new girlfriend had moved into the home he once shared with Shakira in Barcelona.
The Sun reported that journalist Pepe del Real told El Programa de Ana Rosa: ' Shakira lived in that house in 2012 when she arrived in Barcelona. What's more, the images of Shakira leaving the hospital, of her pregnant and arriving at the house were in that house, which is in the town of Cambrils.'
Shakira realised her ex Gerard was having an affair when she discovered a jar of strawberry jam had been eaten while she was away.
In other lyrics, translated from Spanish, Shakira goes on to sing: 'This is for me to mortify you, chew and swallow so it doesn't sting, I won't return to you anymore even if you cry or beg me.
'I understood that it's not my fault that they criticize you, I only make music, sorry that I splashed you.'

The new album kicks off with a sultry pop collaboration with WAP rapper, Cardi B, 31, in Puntería.
The accompanying music video for the track, a fantasy featuring Emily in Paris star Lucien Laviscount, also 31, was released alongside the record.
And there is more than one song that Shakira has seemingly shaded Gerard in after making reference to a 'necessary' split with an ex who is as 'cold as Christmas' in her song Monotonía, also included in the album.
The song, meaning Monotony in English, starts with Shakira singing in Spanish: 'It wasn't your fault, nor was it mine. It was monotony's fault. I never said anything but it hurt me. I knew this would happen.'
She then alludes to the relationship being over before it ended, singing: 'It's a necessary goodbye. What used to be incredible became routine.
'Your lips don't taste of anything to me. Now it's the complete opposite.'
Appearing to reference the end of her relationship, she says: 'You left me because of your narcissism. You forgot what you used to be.
'Distant with your attitude, and that filled me with worry. You didn't give even half. I know I gave more than you.'
In the music video, Shakira walks dejectedly through a supermarket with tears in her eyes before being shot through the chest by bazooka by a mystery man.

After her fans watched the star go through over a year if torment and hurt after her split, they flocked to social media to share their excitement over the new release
Symbolising her heartbreak, she walks through the streets with a hole in her chest, holding her bloody heart in her hand, before someone stamps down on it.
Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran marks Shakira's first album in seven years and is a testament to her strength to transform the most trying experiences into precious moments.
After watching her go through over a year of torment and hurt after her split, fans flocked to social media to share their excitement over the new release.
They wrote: 'SHAKIRA SAVING THE INDUSTRY AGAIN The looks, the song, the voacls, cardi b verse, the choreo, the visuals. That's what we call a comeback!'; 'You've done it again queen I love the album.'
'YOOOO POINTING IS A SMASH HIT.'; 'What a good album, the phoenix returns with everything and it is Made in Colombia, the queen returned.'
The record boasts 16 tracks, eight new songs, a new remix, and seven previously released smash hit singles including Te Felicito with Rauw Alejandro, Copa Vacía with Manuel Turizo and more.
Her seven previously released tracks already have a combined total of 3.7 billion plays on Spotify.
In tandem with the album release, Shakira relased the fantasy-filled music video for her infectious new pop track Puntería alongside Cardi B.
Shakira told the New York Times: 'I sent [Cardi] the song and she jumped on it right away. It was actually an enormous pleasure to work with her. I find her so creative and witty and direct and unapologetically genuine.'
'[It's] the transformation of pain into creativity, frustration into productivity, anger into passion, vulnerability into resilience,' she added.
'There were so many pieces of my life that crumbled in front of my eyes and I had to rebuild myself in a way, picking up the bones from the floor and putting them all together. And the glue that kept it all together was music.'
In a first for the Grammy Award-winning star, the new album marks her debut release on vinyl, featuring four distinct artwork editions, each paired with an exclusive coloured vinyl variant.
The Sapphire edition is exclusively offered on Amazon, while the Ruby edition has been made available solely at Target.
Fans can find the Emerald edition exclusively on Shakira's official website, and the Diamond edition will be stocked by all major retailers.
The She Wolf singer has not released an album since 2017's El Dorado - which was mostly sung in her native Spanish' and spawned the singles Chantaje and Me Enamoré.
Prior to that, Shakira released a self-titled record that served as her fourth English-language album overall and it featured the hit single Can't Remember To Forget You with Rihanna.
