TikTok users are split about a viral post where a server claims he was fired for calling in sick with a broken hand.
Freddie, who's known as @petobsessed777, posted a video on March 1 of himself playing a voicemail that his boss left him.
TikTokers initially supported Freddie, but some of them have also questioned the reality of the situation. Freddie posted a second TikTok video on March 5 of him having a conversation with a woman while he was being fired from his job.
Within four days, Freddie went from being a server with a broken hand, to having an intense conversation with a woman who TikTokers thought sounded like Elmo.
Freddie's videos have been viewed by about 4 million TikTok users who have either supported him or accused him of lying.

Freddie's boss described the day he missed as an 'all hands on deck day' before he began his phone call rant.
'I know you allegedly broke your hand... The only acceptable reason to call out is an illness that is contagious,' his boss stated.
'Otherwise, you're expected to show up.'
Freddie's callout led to catering orders at his work place were going out late 'left and right,' the boss claimed.
Freddie's supervisor said he did not tell him about the issues to make him feel guilty, but that he wants Freddie to be inspired.
'When one of our team members is down, the whole team feels it,' he said.
Freddie's boss then requested that he call him back and concluded the phone call by calling him 'bucko.'
Social media users were not happy about the voicemail and most of them disliked what the server's boss called him.
TikTok users that commented on Freddie's March 1 video were annoyed with his boss and were especially upset that he referred to the server as 'bucko' in the voicemail
'Anyone who calls you "bucko" in an authority based relationship has no respect for you at all,' a TikToker wrote.
'I let clients go when they talk to my staff like that.'
Other users suggested that Freddie get a lawyer 'immediately' and that he had the right to call out.
'You can actually call out for whatever you want - they legally can't ask you why...,' another user wrote in the comment section.
Although the US Department of Labor confirmed that there are no federal legal requirements for paid sick leave, Freddie met the requirement to be protected by the Family and Medical Leave Act.
The act provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for medical reasons that involve the employee or their family if the worker has been employed at the company for at least 12 months.
Freddie did not clarify where he worked, but if he worked in California, he would've met the requirements for the Paid Sick Leave law.
As part of the law, employers are required to give their employees paid time off for treatment, diagnosis or preventative care for themselves or their family members.
The law covers employees who work for the same employer for at least 30 days of the year in California and complete a 90-day employment period before taking a sick day.
The law is applied to employees who are seeking medical attention, caring for a family member, or recovering from a physical/mental illness or injury.

Various laws are put in place for employers that are required to give their workers paid or unpaid sick days after the employees work at the company for a certain time period
Although these are workplace requirements, Freddie was still fired from his job by a woman who worked for the company.
The female boss hinted to him that one of the reasons behind the firing was of him posting the first TikTok video. She then went into other factors that she claimed were also factors in why the company terminated his employment.
'We have to really look back to the impacted client service standards and think on the history of attendance and punctuality,' she told Freddie.
Once he asked the woman when attendance and punctuality was an issue, she brought up a callout made by him on January 15, 2021.
'We request that you return of all the company property and note that this does include your company branded hair net and bow tie,' she stated.
Freddie, who listened to the entire phone call, couldn't stop smiling when the female worker spoke with him.
The phone call and job termination did appear legit to some TikTokers, but it also made users question if the issue was real.

One of the reasons that TikTokers couldn't believe the issue was real was because of the woman's voice, who one user wrote was 'a cartoon character voice.'
'Is your hr department run by the muppets,' one TikToker asked in the comment section.
'This 100% cannot be real. The original call, maybe. But this no way. I refuse to believe itttttt with her,' another user wrote.
A user who didn't believe the issue was real thought that for a reason that's completely different from the female employee's voice.
