A female teacher has been charged with sexually abusing a 15-year-old male student at the same Arizona high school where another teacher had allegedly committed a similar crime seven months earlier.
Alyssa Todd, 23, was arrested for 'inappropriate contact' between her and a student, making her the second teacher in seven months to be arrested for a sex crime at Odyssey Institute for Advanced and International Studies High School in Buckeye.
In mid-September, 42-year-old teacher Jessica Kramer was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old male student at the same school.
And in October, a 23-year-old female teaching assistant, Diana Pirvu, was accused of having 'inappropriate contact' with a 13-year-old student at a nearby Buckeye middle school, Imagine Schools.
Imagine Schools and the Odyssey Institute for Advanced and International Studies are just six miles apart and about a 12 minute walk from each other.
Alyssa Todd was reported to authorities by her husband, who suspected that his wife was having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student
In September, Jessica Kramer, who taught at the same school as Todd- Odyssey Institute for Advanced and International Studies High School- was also accused of having sex with an underaged male student
Diana Pirvu, 23, was a teaching assistant at Imagine Schools, roughly six miles away from the Odyssey Institute, and was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old male student
Todd's arrest marked the third time the Buckeye Police have had to apprehend a female teacher accused of having sexual contact with a minor in the last few months.
Buckeye authorities were alerted to Todd's liaison with the 15-year-old by her husband, who had allegedly found reams of letters between the teacher and the student that were 'sexual in nature.'
Todd's husband also reportedly discovered further salacious messages on a laptop, which led him to conclude that a sexual relationship was taking place between his wife, who also coached at the school, and the student.
Investigators compiled evidence that the sexual abuse occurred on and off the school's campus and that the relationship lasted for two months.
Authorities took Todd into custody at her Buckeye home on Wednesday, during which time she reportedly confessed to investigators that she had lied in her first interview because she was 'so scared.'
Over the course of her dalliance with the 15-year-old, Todd reportedly told him that she would ditch her husband for him.
The Buckeye Police department has had to investigate three different female teachers who were accused of having inappropriate relationships with students

Alyssa Todd, 23, and Jessica Kramer, 42, were both accused of having inappropriate relationships with underaged male students at the same school
According to Arizona Family, Todd's charges include: luring a minor for sexual exploitation, sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual conduct with a minor.
In September, Kramer, who taught at the same school as Todd, was indicted by a grand jury on multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
The Odyssey Institute had received a tip regarding a possible relationship between Kramer and a male student, and the school passed the information along to the Buckeye police, who promptly investigated the manner.
When their probe was complete, the police concluded that the alleged sexual abuse began around August 2022, right before Kramer left the school.
The 42-year-old teacher was arrested in her Buckeye home and placed behind bars at the Maricopa County Jail.
The prolific Buckeye police force's third similar arrest involved Diana Pirvu, 23, who was accused of having 'inappropriate contact' with a 13-year-old male student.
In October, officers were contacted by one of the victim's family members who suspected an illicit relationship between the boy and the teaching assistant at Imagine Schools.
The Buckeye Police Special Investigations Unit sifted through Pirvu's correspondence with the boy, and allegedly struck upon multiple incidents of child sex abuse that had happened off campus.
Pirvu was picked up by authorities at a traffic stop near her Buckeye home and was later interviewed by investigators.
She was booked into jail with one count of child molestation.
In a press release after the arrest, the Buckeye police said: 'Buckeye police are committed to holding offenders accountable, especially those responsible for the care of our most vulnerable community members.'
They concluded: 'We continue our work to seek justice for victims of sex crimes and support them throughout the process.'
