A couple expecting a baby were left shocked to find out that their initial ultrasound had gotten the sex of their child wrong - but only after throwing two gender reveal parties.
Aylin Rósales, from Southern California, shared back in November that she and her husband, who tied the knot in 2022, were told to expect a girl at an ultrasound appointment last fall.
They'd gone on to have an intimate, personal gender reveal, with the pair simply cutting a cake side by side to discover its pink interior.
Then, they had shared the news with their entire family at a large gathering, via mini-cannons emitting blasts of pink confetti.

'When EVERYONE thought we found out the gender of our baby,' Aylin wrote via text overlay of the party.
Next, over a shot of just she and her partner cutting open the cake, she wrote: 'When WE thought we found out the gender of our baby.'
But, at a subsequent ultrasound, the sonographer became confused on looking at the images from Aylin's stomach.
'No, it's a boy,' the technician explained to the mom-to-be, shaking her head.
She added with text overlay of sonography surprise: 'When we ACTUALLY found out the gender of our baby.'
In the caption, Aylin elaborated: 'From the moment I knew I was pregnant I had a feeling we were having a baby boy, I was so happy either way, but this made me realize that I can truly trust my intuition.
'This baby has us going through an emotional rollercoaster… I am officially and for sure this time… a boy mom.'

'I can just sense the scrambling to return or exchange certain gifts now,' one chuckled.
'This happened to me LOL they told my parents I was a boy and came out a girl,' a second wrote.
'I was told girl and at seven months we found out it was a boy,' echoed a third.
'This happened to me, I really wanted a girl but after the gender reveal I was not convinced, then they told me it was a boy and I felt that was true in my heart,' another chimed in.
'This happened to me!! My doctor assumed it was a girl when my baby had his legs crossed but the second time my husband and I went for an ultrasound the ultrasound tech showed us that it was a boy,' someone else explained.
Likewise, at Aylin's earlier ultrasound appointment last fall, the baby had had its legs crossed - making it more challenging to determine its sex with total certainty on the spot.
