Two social media users have provided similar Easter egg dying hacks with very difficult degrees of success.
Two TikTok users, @athomewithshannon and @tiktokuuss123, showed off their own egg dying hacks that resulted in eggs that were highly different from one another.
User @athomewithshannon, whose real name is Shannon Doherty, created colorful eggs in an aluminum tray, food coloring and shaving cream. While fellow poster, @tiktokuuss123's hack consisted of food coloring, shaving cream, an egg carton and boiled water.
Doherty's March 9 video has received nearly 3 million views while the other user's March 20 TikTok reached just over 380,000.
One video -made users 'love it' while the other has left commenters wanting their three minutes back.
TikTokers are getting into Easter and two users posted videos of their Easter egg dying hacks, one working better than the other
Poster @tiktokuuss123's hack consisted of food coloring, shaving cream, an egg carton, and boiled water. Doherty also used food coloring and shaving cream in her video
Doherty's video came out on top this year with her 'genius Easter egg coloring hack.'
The influencer covered a tray in shaving cream and added drops of three different food coloring in the tray.
'This hack is seriously amazing and they turned out so pretty,' said Doherty.
All she did after filling her tray with shaving cream and food coloring was put in her hard boiled eggs, let them sit, and flip them over.
'I cannot get over how easy this was and it was not even that messy,' she stated.
Doherty created nine Easter eggs that are primarily blue and pink and her hack has been a hit for TikTokers.
Doherty called her Easter egg dying hack 'genius' and her video has received positive reviews from TikTokers in the comment section
Doherty is a social media influencer who has racked in nearly 3 million views since she posted her video earlier this month
TikTok users have been complimenting Doherty on her eggs and have also been writing down their own Easter hacks
'I had no idea - doing this with my boys! thank u,' one TikTok user wrote.
Others have called Doherty's eggs 'beautiful' and 'groovy' and have even complimented her special egg dish she used for presentation.
Unfortunately, not everybody was as successful with the shaving cream hack.
Poster @tiktokuuss123's video was a two-and-a-half-minute long video that left more than 200 TikTok commenters upset.
Unlike Doherty, the TikToker did not give verbal directions throughout the entire video and used an egg carton instead of a tray.
He closed the egg tray full of shaving cream and food coloring on the eggs twice and then dipped them each into boiling water.
The eggs, which also came out blue and pink, weren't as colorful despite it being what he said was 'an easy way to dye eggs.'
The egg carton also had an overflow of shaving cream, which made for a very messy egg dye hack.
Poster @tiktokuuss123 used an egg carton instead of a tray and dipped his eggs into boiling water. The eggs came out much less colorful, but the video has received nearly 400,000 views
TikTokers who commented on the @tiktokuuss123's video trashed it and multiple users wrote that they wasted three minutes of their time watching it
'All that for the worst colored eggs ever?' a TikTok user wrote.
More than one user wrote that they wasted their time watching the video and that they want their three minutes back. One person comment how the 'hack' was messy and wasn't any easier than the traditional methods.
'We have very different definitions of what easy means,' wrote a TikTok user.
Although the comments in the second video were extremely negative, one user wrote that it cheered them up with a laugh.
