A fan who attended the Grand Canyon-Alabama game in the second round of March Madness has been accused of ruining the thrilling end to the contest by screaming so loudly that even TV microphone sets picked up the shrieks.

In a clip shared by Awful Announcing on Monday, barely 24 hours after the matchup between both teams, the Grand Canyon fan can be heard on TBS late in the second half while sitting next to one of the channels' mics'.

She yelled for eight seconds after the Grand Canyon Antelopes cut the deficit to one point with a little less than seven minutes remaining on the game clock.

NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson later reacted to the screams by sharing on X: 'Fun games! But someone please check on the shrieking Grand Canyon fan.' In a separate tweet, he later added: 'I can only imagine how she reacted the first time she saw the ACTUAL Grand Canyon.'

CBS Sports' Mike McClure wrote: 'I don't know what is more chaotic: the gameplay in Alabama vs. Grand Canyon, or the one screaming GCU fan that sounds like she's controlling one of the cameras. #MarchMadness.'

X user 'Stuckey', of the Action Network, said: 'This Grand Canyon screaming fan needs to go.'

Little can be done in this particular situation, other than to cut of the sound entirely, but TBS was never going to do that, given that it's March Madness.

Alabama will face No. 1 seed North Carolina in the Sweet 16 on Thursday in Los Angeles after narrowly defeating Grand Canyon, 72-51.

Mark Sears had 26 points, a season-best 12 rebounds and six assists to lead the Crimson Tide in scoring on Sunday night in Spokane, Washington.

Rylan Griffen added 13 points, including the final 10 of the game to hold off a charge by the Lopes.

Tyon Grant-Foster recorded 29 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots for 12th-seeded Grand Canyon (30-5), which was a porous 2 of 20 from 3-point range.
