A recently surfaced clip shows progressive 'Squad' member Rep. Jamaal Bowman calling the rapes and child beheadings of Israelis by Hamas militants on October 7 'propaganda.'
The video - posted on TikTok - shows Bowman addressing a group of pro-Palestinian protestors in Westchester, New York, decrying how Israel was lying about the severity of the attack.
'There was propaganda used at the beginning of the siege,' he can be heard claiming loudly as cars passed noisily behind him on a busy road.
He was speaking to a group of around 50 pro-Palestinian supporters, some of whom were carrying signs. The video was reportedly filmed on November 17, over a month after the war began, according to Politico.
'There's still no evidence of beheaded babies or raped women,' he continues, receiving affirmation from the crowd.
'But they've still been using that lie...propaganda.'
Rep. Jamaal Bowman called reports of Hamas' raping of Israeli women and beheading of Israeli babies 'propaganda' in a recently surfaced video that was shot weeks after the war started
After Hamas militants invaded Israel on October 7, 2023, there were widespread reports of brutal murders, including those of children, and rape
But at the time the video was recorded, many reports had already confirmed Hamas committed rapes and beheadings - including some from the Israeli government.
Further, survivors of the attacks also said they had seen women getting raped at a concert site that was attacked early in the morning on October 7.
In total, Hamas killed over 1,100 people on that day, 360 of which were killed at the music venue.
Despite Bowman's claims that the reports of rape and murder were fabricated, he denounced the actions of the Hamas just three days after the initial attack.
'Hamas targeted defenseless and innocent civilians and killed the largest number of Jewish people outside of the Holocaust in one day,' he said in an October 10 statement.
'It has truly been a heartbreaking past few days with deaths we hoped would never happen again,' Bowman continued. 'Their actions are unequivocally abhorrent and must be strongly and clearly condemned.'
His office did not return DailyMail.com's request for comment.
Still, Bowman's October 10 statement differs dramatically from the sentiment he expressed in the TikTok video recorded over a month later.
And his claim that rapes and beheadings were 'propaganda' had been thoroughly debunked before his November 17 comments.
He attempted to clarify his remarks in a statement to Politico, but did not deny making them.
'As I said at this rally, what Hamas did on October 7th is a war crime and they must release all the hostages,' he told Politico.
'The UN confirmed that Hamas committed rape and sexual violence, a reprehensible fact that I condemn entirely. I also voted yes on Resolution 966, which officially condemns the rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas. So let me be clear, and ensure my words are not twisted: I always stand against sexual violence in all forms and stand for peace for all.'
But Republicans seized on Bowman's remarks in the video, accusing Democrats of 'loving' the terrorist organization.
'Extreme House Democrats remain so blinded by their Antisemitism and their love of Hamas they will not only ignore horrific crimes committed against Israeli women, but will actively seek to discredit their trauma,' National Republican Congressional Committee National Press Secretary Will Reinert told DailyMail.com.

Some of Bowmans Democrat colleagues, however, quickly came out against the reports of Hamas' brutality against civilians.
Rep. Shri Thanedar, D-Mich., went as far as renouncing his membership to the Democratic Socialists of America after they planned a pro-Palestinian rally days after the October 7 attacks.
'After the brutal terrorist attacks on Israel, which included the indiscriminate murder, rape, and kidnapping of innocent men, women, and children, I can no longer associate with an organization unwilling to call out terrorism in all its forms,' Thanedar said in an October 11 statement.
President Biden was also quick to call the rapes and murders horrific.
'Stomach-turning reports of being — babies being killed. Entire families slain,' he said October 10.
'Young people massacred while attending a musical festival to celebrate peace — to celebrate peace,' he continued. 'Women raped, assaulted, paraded as trophies.'
'The brutality of Hamas — this bloodthirstiness — brings to mind the worst — the worst rampages of ISIS. This is terrorism.'
