Former President Barack Obama is increasingly worried about President Joe Biden's 2024 campaign, according to a new report from CNN

The former president went to the White House on Friday to express his concerns directly to Biden for 'several hours' according to the report, voicing his worries about the 2024 campaign.

Obama also speaks regularly with Biden on the phone and is in direct contact with his White House chief of staff Jeff Zients.

Obama's close involvement with Biden's team only adds to the growing perception that he is helping run the country behind the scenes as the 81-year-old president runs for re-election.

Obama views the current position of the campaign as an 'all hands on deck' moment, according to the report, working with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to promote Biden who continues struggling in the polls.

Obama will team up with Biden and former President Bill Clinton on Thursday for a massive Manhattan fundraiser. The three will sit down for a forum with late night show talk host Stephen Colbert at Radio City Music Hall.

Tickets cost up to $500,000 a piece for special access to receptions with the three presidents. A 100,000 donation gets the donor a picture taken with the three presidents by photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Celebrities Anna Wintour, Mindy Kaling, Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo, and Lea Michelle are expected to attend.

Obama always worried that Biden would embarrass himself during the 2020 election, when many Democrat elites and donors viewed him as too old and out of touch to run a successful campaign

'Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f*** things up,' Obama reportedly told a Democrat during the 2020 campaign.
