The violence against women in the Amish community is not a secret. DailyMail.com has previously reported on the arrest of Shawn Cranston for allegedly murdering pregnant Rebekah Byler in her home earlier this month.
Neighbors of Cranston, while shocked at his double homicide charges, were still hesitant to comment on the situation.
'We like to keep things among ourselves. We're not talking to protect the parents and the husband,' an Amish told DailyMail.com.
