Ronna McDaniel is expecting to be fully paid out for her contract with NBC News despite being dropped just four days after it was announced she was joining the network as a political contributor.

The ex-RNC chair's contract was for $300,000 a year for two years, Politico reported.

With her lone appearance on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday that lasted less than 20 minutes, that amounts to more than $30,000 a minute or $500 a second.

McDaniel has not spoken publicly about her short-lived tenure since the announcement on Tuesday evening from NBC that she was being dropped.

But Politico reports that she is lawyering up and spoke with Bryan Freedman on Tuesday about her legal options even beyond recouping the money from her original contract.

He is the lawyer who represented Megyn Kelly in her split with the network as well as other anchors who have been axed including Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson.

NBC officially dropped McDaniel on Tuesday only four days after announcing she was joining the network as a political contributor. The announcement of her hiring on Friday sparked immediate backlash from on-air talent across the network.

In a statement Tuesday evening, NBCUniversal chairman Cesar Conde said: 'After listening to the legitimate concerns of many of you, I have decided that Ronna McDaniel will not be an NBC News contributor.'

While NBC employees were outraged by her being hired, conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, who is a friend of McDaniel, said he has never seen anything 'this brutal' of her ousting.

'Ronna is going to sue everyone who defamed her for breach of contraction, for intentional inflection of mental distress,' Hewitt said during an appearance on Fox News.

'They're going to sue for the destruction of her business opportunities that come from being on TV,' he added.

'I think they made a terrible decision and they allowed the MSNBC bleed to take over their network.'

He claimed the 'cult has taken over the news division.'

Politico reported she is exploring potential defamation and hostile work environment claims after some of the biggest names on NBC slammed her on air.

McDaniel served as RNC chair from 2017 until earlier this month when she stepped down amid pressure from Trump who wanted loyalist Michael Whatley and his daughter-in-law Lara Trump to lead the party.

During her time as RNC chair she promoted Trump's false election fraud claims. It was one of the reasons her hiring at NBC sparked backlash from network employees.

NBC has hired a series of other political operatives for on-air hosting and contributor gigs over the years.

Among them are Jen Psaki who served as White House press secretary in the Biden administration and Symone Sanders who was spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris.

On-air employees of the network said they were outraged over McDaniel's hiring not because she was a Republican but become of her actions.

Former Meet the Press Moderator Chuck Todd slammed the network right after McDaniel's lone Meet the Press interview as an employee.

He said there were a lot of journalists uncomfortable with her being hired by the network because their professional dealings with the RNC over the past six years 'have been met with gaslighting, have been met with character assassination.'
