The best beauty products of the decade revealed: Good Housekeeping unveils Hall of Fame - including Estee Lauder foundation and Rare Beauty blush
Good Housekeeping's Beauty Hall of Fame has unveiled the best performing make-up products of the past decade.
In honour of its 100th anniversary, the Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) is spotlighting the top beauty products, spanning make-up, beauty gadgets, haircare and skincare, from throughout the year.
All products were put through their paces in the GHI lab and rigorously tested in the real world by a panel of consumers.
In the lab, the GHI's expert team of testers used specialist machines to assess the colour transfer of lipstick on coffee cups, the smudge-proof claims of eye make-up and the staying power of base products.
The first set of winners, which include Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup and Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, are the most long-lasting, high-impact beauty essentials money can buy.
Angela Trofymova, Head of Testing at the Good Housekeeping Institute said: 'At the Good Housekeeping Institute, our number one aim is to equip consumers with the advice they need to make the right purchase decisions – and our Beauty Hall of Fame celebrates the top product recommendations since our beauty lab opened ten years ago.
'Assessments from our in-house experts, as well as testing from more than 25,000 consumers, have brought some really interesting results across foundations, mascaras, lipsticks and more.
'Whilst a large proportion of our winners were recent launches, we did see several "older" products standing the test of time, showing real innovation that still resonates with consumers today.'
