It's considered one of the glitziest reality shows on TV, with stars strutting through multi-million dollar properties with jaw-dropping wardrobes to match.

But despite Selling Sunset being one of the biggest hits on Netflix, its sparkly sheen hasn't protected some of its stars from a string of personal woes.

Since it began in 2019, cast members have faced a string of relationship troubles, most recently Christine Quinn, who has filed for a restraining order against her husband Christian Richard following his arrest last week.

Fans were also stunned when it was revealed that star Chelsea Lazkani has filed for divorce from her husband Jeff.

So, as fans question whether the show could be cursed, MailOnline takes a look at the real-life dramas that have plagued the Selling Sunset cast...

Christine had long proved to be one of Selling Sunset's most controversial characters, but left the show, and the brokerage it was based on, during its fifth season after being accused of bribing a client.

While the star painted a picture-perfect image of her marriage to husband Christian Richard, recent developments show things have been far from rosy.

Last week Christian was arrested twice in the span of 48 hours, with the first being after he allegedly threw a bag containing a glass bottle at Quinn but missed and hit their son instead, which he has denied.

Christine has since filed for a restraining order against her husband, who she married in 2019.

In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Quinn said her marriage was in decline for several years with their tensions erupting last week when she tried to discuss the family's financial woes with the retired millionaire.

She claims this angered Richard and he started 'throwing decorative items at her' - some of which contained metal rods.

Richard had filed for a temporary restraining order (TRO) that seeks to enforce a 'legal forcefield around him' - which he says was essential in light of Quinn's domestic violence allegations against him - which he denies.

Earlier this week, Richard filed his own request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) that seeks to enforce a 'legal forcefield around him' - which he says is essential in light of Quinn's domestic violence allegations against him - which he denies.

Sources claimed that Christine was planning on leaving her husband and filing for divorce even before the incident occurred.

Quinn currently has a week-long emergency protective order against her husband, but she will need to petition the courts for another restraining order once it runs out.

Sources told TMZ that she is in the process of meeting with attorneys to plan out her next steps.

The Selling Sunset star is reportedly planning to detail her entire history in order to secure a restraining order, and the sources describe their marriage as being a series of ups and downs.

Richard was seen in a bathrobe as he was led into a squad car by police after his arrest for assault with a deadly weapon.

He subsequently made bail, but was shockingly arrested a second time after he violated the emergency restraining police had offered Quinn by visiting their home.

Quinn and Richard were originally introduced via a mutual friend, and the tech founder proposed to her on Valentine's Day of 2019.

The couple were wed in December of that year in a ceremony with a winter wonderland theme featuring an unusual gothic twist, including Quinn's black wedding dress.

They welcomed their son Christian in 2021.

Chrishell Stause is blindsided by divorce filing

When Chrishell joined the Oppenheim brokerage, she was happily married to This Is Us star Justin Hartley.

However, in November 2019 it was revealed they had split after just three years marriage, and the fallout was played out for viewers during Selling Sunset's third season in 2020.

Justin cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the divorce filing, and claimed he and Chrishell had been separated since July 8, 2019, despite the pair being seen together on several occasions after that specific date.

During the explosive third series of Netflix hit Selling Sunset, the Days of Our Lives actress claimed Justin informed her of his intent to divorce via text message, just 45 minutes before the heartbreaking news was made public.

She told her friend and real estate colleague Mary Fitzgerald: 'I found out because he text[ed] me that we were filed. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew.'

Chrishell went on to stress that 'forty-five minutes' was not enough time to prepare for the onslaught of questions they were bound to receive from their mutual fans.

'Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers, and I f***ing want answers. I know people are saying we were only married two years, but it's like, we were together for six years,' she explained passionately.

The TV star also referred to Justin's divorce filing as an 'impulsive' decision and that he would often use the same 'I'm out' approach during fights they had in the past.

'In a fight, that's [Justin's] go-to, you know?' she said. 'Like, 'I'm out, I'm out.' I hate that kind of impulsive stuff, but I always just thought, you know, that's just an issue that we work through it. If that's really what you wanted, there are better ways to go about [it].

Explaining that they never discussed divorce further, Chrishell said: 'I talked to him right after because I thought that must be a joke, but that was kind of the end of the communication.'

Six months after the announcement in May 2020, Justin was seen kissing his former Young And Restless co-star Sofia Pernas.

It was confirmed shortly after that the couple had begun dating, however it is still unclear when they began their relationship.

Chrishell has since moved on with non-binary singer G-Flip, with the pair tying the knot in a surprise Vegas wedding in 2023.

Tyler Stanaland's Hollywood marriage ends

It appears that marital struggles have also spilled into Selling Sunset's spin-offs, as star Tyler Stanaland's own two-year marriage ended just a month after the season aired.

In September 2022, it was revealed that Tyler had split from his wife, Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow.

'After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate.

'This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another. We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives,' Brittany announced on September 14.

'We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.'

Brittany and Tyler originally began dating in 2018 after he slid into her Instagram DMs 'with the most embarrassing pickup line - a dad joke' and got engaged a year later.

The pair cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split, and agreed to wave spousal support with plans to cover their own legal fees, according to TMZ.

It was claimed that the former couple's relationship becoming a storyline on Selling The OC 'broke them' as a couple.

Reports of marriage trouble between the former couple began to circulate when the realtor claimed his Selling The OC co-star, Kayla Cardona, tried to kiss him off-camera.

'They had issues before, but this is the final straw,' a source told People.
