Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes will have plenty to celebrate as the latter impressed in his Triple-A debut.
On Saturday, MLB's top pitching prospect made his first appearance for the Indianapolis Indians, the highest affiliate in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league system.
Skenes threw 29 of 46 pitches for strikes and generated 12 whiffs in a short start as the Indians won 4-3 over the Louisville Bats.
The former LSU Tiger looked sharp as he recorded three perfect innings in the win.
Skenes averaged 100.1 mph on his 21 fastballs, reaching at least 100 on 12 pitches. He toped at 101.2 and bottomed at 99.1 on Saturday, per MLB.com.

Olivia Dunne supported Skenes from afar as she gears up for the NCAA tournament with LSU
After leading LSU to a College World Series Title, Skenes appeared in five minor league games last summer.
Skenes was selected by the Pirates with the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft. Additionally, he and Dylan Crews became the first college teammates in league history to be selected with the first two overall picks after Crews was drafted by the Nationals.
While Skenes' professional career is looking promising in the minors, Dunne has been on a tear with the LSU gymnastics team as she looks to win a national title before graduating.
On March 23, Dunne and the 19-3 Tigers secured the SEC title. They will head into the national championship tournament as the second-seeded team on April 4.
As they compete in their respective fields, Dunne supported Skenes from Baton Rouge when the pitcher competed in Spring training earlier this month. Dunne and Skenes also reunited shortly on March 26, which Dunne showed by posting a selfie with her boyfriend on her Instagram story.
