NASCAR driver Joey Gase ripped off the bumper of his wrecked car and tossed the object at the windshield of fellow racer Dawson Crum during the the ToyotaCare 250 on Saturday.

Gase and Crum were battling for position on the track when Crum drove his car into the bumper of Gase's vehicle, spinning him out into the wall and totaling his No 35 Chevrolet.

Once Gase was out of the vehicle, he ripped off the front bumper of his blue racing vehicle and waited for Crum's No 4 Chevrolet to come around the Richmond Raceway track again.

Gase walked down the track and near the line of cars going around his wreck to target Crum's car, and throw the bumper onto his front windshield.

The throw did not appear to cause any damage to Crum's red and white car, but Gase's road rage did draw sizable interest online.

Although throwing a bumper at an opponent's car might be new in NASCAR, throwing any object at a rival's vehicle is not.

After a 2012 wreck, Tony Stewart threw his helmet at the passenger side window of Matt Kenseth's car.

In April 2022, Sam Mayer and Ty Gibbs, the grandson of Super Bowl winning coach and NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs, got into a fight in pit row, taking several members of each driver's team to separate them.

Gase then put a photo of his bumper-less car to social media, tagging Crum in the post stating 'hope you appreciate your souvenir.'

Gase will likely hear from NASCAR's corporate office about the incident, as throwing part of your vehicle at another car is not in the league's rule book.
