Rebel Wilson has hit out at Sacha Baron Cohen once again for 'humiliating and degrading' her on set - as she defended her decision to name him in her shock memoir by insisting she was '100 per cent truthful and honest.'

The Australian actress, 44, appeared on the Today show on Monday opposite Hoda Kotb to discuss the tell-all titled Rebel Rising.

She had previously said she was going to write a chapter in the book about a 'massive a**hole' she had worked with in Hollywood - but did not initially reveal the person's identity.

Rebel later took to Instagram to reveal that she was referring to Ali G and Borat actor Sacha - with the pair having starred alongside each other on the 2016 spy action comedy The Brothers Grimsby.

Earlier today, the Pitch Perfect star once again defended making explosive claims about the 52-year-old producer who has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

The segment began with Rebel describing the upcoming memoir as being 'deeply personal' as she shared: 'I'm feeling like a mix of anxiety because to be so vulnerable and to put it all out there it does take a bit of courage to do that.'

Hoda, 59, then asked the actress about the chapter of the book that references working with Sacha as the 'worst professional experience,' and shared: 'I couldn't help but feel like I was humiliated.'

The host asked if Rebel was glad she had included the claims as the actress responded: 'Yeah. I mean, that was something that happened 10 years ago.

'Obviously, I have move passed it now, but it was my worst professional experience - and just feeling like humiliated and degraded as a person.

'I thought it's worth sharing in a book because there are probably a lot of people out there that have had the same experiences.'

She continued: 'In fact, since all the headlines have been happening, I have had a lot of women reach out saying they have had similar experiences with this guy.

'So at least to help some people feel not alone and to know that you can go through something like that at work and then come out the other side a stronger person.'

Rebel and Sacha worked together on The Brothers Grimsby back in 2016.

In the film, Sacha portrays reformed football hooligan Norman 'Nobby' Grimsby who is forced to go on the run with his brother - a suave secret agent played by Kingsman star Mark Strong.

Rebel plays his on-screen love interest Dawn while Cohen's real-life love and fellow Australian actress Fisher plays Jodie Figgs.

In the passage of her memoir obtained by People, Rebel alleged that Sacha would repeatedly ask her to strip off for scenes despite her 'no nudity' rule.

The most shocking allegation was that he requested she 'stick her finger up his a**' because he thought it would make a funny scene in the film.

Rebel claimed: 'It felt like every time I'd speak to SBC, he'd mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene. I was like, "Ha, I don't do nudity, Sacha."'

The actress claimed that she was allegedly summoned by a production assistant for an additional scene while shooting in Cape Town, South Africa.

Rebel wrote: "OK, well, we're gonna film this extra scene," SBC says. 'Then he pulls his pants down,' SBC says very matter-of-factly: "OK, now I want you to stick your finger up my a**." And I'm like, "What?? … No!!"'

The Pitch Perfect star claimed she was shocked and wanted to get out of it, adding: 'I was now scared. I wanted to get out of there, so I finally compromised: I slapped him on the ass and improvised a few lines as the character.'

The Bridesmaids actress also claimed she only agreed to a sex scene with Sacha after several rewrites and recalled allegedly telling the producers that she wouldn't be promoting the film ahead of its release.

Sacha has strongly denied ever mistreating Rebel or pressuring her to be naked in the film.

A spokesperson for Sacha, said: 'While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.'

Elsewhere in the interview on Today, Hoda asked Rebel her thoughts about his response, to which she said: 'Obviously knowing his character, I assumed he would react in this way.

'Writing a memoir, the book gets fully legally vetted so obviously, there are tons of people to back what I'm saying in the book. The book is 100 per cent honest and truthful.'
