Oklahoma cops desperately searching for two Kansas women who disappeared on way to collect their children from home - as their abandoned car is found by side of road

Oklahoma cops are desperately searching for two Kansas women whose car was mysteriously found abandoned on the side of the road. 

Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, were traveling together to pick up Kelley's children on Saturday, local 12News reported.

The Hugoton Police Department said in an advisory that the woman never made it to their destination.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation that is investigating the case is calling it a 'suspicious disappearance.'

The women's car was found near Highway 95 and Road L, south of Elkhart, Kansas located in rural Texas County.

The sheriff's department asked the Oklahoma Highway Patrol to activate an endangered missing person at-risk advisory that was released by the Texas County Sheriff's Department.

Kansas Missing an Unsolved said both of the women were going to a rural home in the area of Eva, Oklahoma, in Texas County. 

The Texas County Sheriff's Office expanded the search with assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) on Saturday. 

The bureau called their disappearance 'suspicious.'

It remains unclear the relationship between the women. 

Butler is described as 5ft.4inches tall with red hair and green eyes. She has several tattoos including, a Chinese symbol on her left forearm, and a sunflower on her left shoulder. 

She was dressed in a blue short sleeve shirt, denim shorts and lightweight shoes by the brand, Hey Dudes.  

Kelley, who also from Hugoton, Kansas was last seen on Saturday, with Butler.  

The blue-eyed woman is pictured in the Missing person flyer with blonde hair, but her hair color is now brown, and has a butterfly tattoo on her left forearm.

She is believed to be wearing a long sleeve shirt, white washed blue jeans, and tan beige shoes. 

OSBI special agents and local law enforcement agencies are currently working to locate them.

Texas County Sheriff's Office told DailyMail.com OSBI is handling the case. When contacted they were unavailable for comment.
