Known for being politically incorrect, YouTuber Brandon Herrera is raising eyebrows over a 2022 video where the Texas Congressional candidate promotes a Nazi rifle, a weapons he calls Hitler's 'street sweeper' and the 'the original ghetto blaster.'

Herrera, 28, can be seen in a 2022 video shooting the MP-40 submachine gun choreographed to the song 'Erika,' used by the Nazi as a marching tune.

'Today we're doing on a video on a gun that I have wanted since I was very young just because it is super cool and a very cool piece of history,' the gun enthusiast, known as the AK guy online, explains in the clip.

He and another man dressed in military garb can be seen parading the weapon, as the man starts a 'Heil Hitler' salute, before Herrera stops him, as part of the dark-humored skit.

Herrera, who's vying to be represent a congressional district that includes Uvalde, site of the a horrific 2022 school shooting that claimed the lives of 19 kids and two teachers at Robb Elementary School, acknowledges the use of the song is controversial.

'If you're one of the few people out there that realizes there's absolutely nothing wrong with the song we just used, and it's just a bunch of soldiers singing about a pretty girl they miss at home, go ahead and hit the subscribe button,' Herrera says in his own defense.

The online shock jock used 'Erika' in other video as background music and has also used 'SS marschiert in Feindesland' (SS marches in enemy territory) and 'Panzerlied' (Tank Song.)

The video is right on brand for Herrera, who proudly makes off color jokes in his other shocking videos, including where he recreates the assassination of US presidents and MLK and pries open a fake brain while covered in blood for his 3 million followers.

The San Antonio resident decided to run for office because of a gun control vote cast by Republican incumbent Tony Gonzales in the aftermath of the Uvalde massacre.

Gonzales voted in favor of a 2022 bipartisan law that provides funding to states with 'red flag' laws that allow judges to take firearms away from people who are an immediate danger to themselves or others and has enhanced background checks for gun sales.

The moderate Republican was censured by the Texas GOP as a result-- even though the congressman is an outspoken critic of the Biden Administration, lambasting the President's border policies on a daily basis.

The district covers almost half of the US-Mexico border, stretching from Eagle Pass to El Paso.

Herrera, a hard-left conservative who want to get rid of the ATF, challenged Gonzales for the Republican nomination last month.

While Gonzales, a former Navy officer who served and Afghanistan, received 45% of the vote compared to Herrera's 25%, he fell short of the 50% needed to avoid a runoff, which will be held May 28.

Herrera has taken up other extreme positions, such as being a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, an organization that is committed to vindicating 'the cause for which we fought,' according to their website

He had been embraced by other another Republican extremist, Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz.

Neither the Herrera or Gonzales campaigns replied to a request for comment.
