Several ugly fights broke out at the San Diego Padres' ballpark during their Opening Day series against the San Francisco Giants last weekend, just a day after a woman slapped a man in the face at the venue.
Two fights took place between a group of men on the concourse of Petco Park on Saturday, as seen in a viral video circulating on X during, or after, the Padres' 9-6 loss to the Giants.
Footage shows one man, who wore a grey sweatshirt, on top of another male in a brown shirt, while wrapping his right arm around him in an attempt to chokehold despite ultimately not doing so.
'Stay down!' a stadium employee can be heard yelling, while trying to defuse the situation.
That's when the camera turned to two other men engaged in a different fight nearby.
A fan in a grey sweatshirt tried to chokehold a man wearing a brown shit at Petco Park on Sat.
Another man was seen punching another male who was on the ground on the park's concourse
A third brawl had a man landing punches on another male while putting his knee on his back
One of them, who was wearing a long sleeve shirt and jeans, appeared to land a few punches on his opponent, who was wearing a No. 44 shirt.
At one point, the latter went to ground, but that didn't stop the other guy from still physically hurting him.
The video then showed two other men fighting.
The guy in the grey sweatshirt was seen punching the guy in a brown shirt while he had a knee on his back.
It's unclear if the fights broke out during or after the Padres' 9-6 loss to the Giants last weekend
Stadium workers intervened to separate the two guys, once and for all.
No reports of injury or arrests were made.
Just 24 hours earlier, on Friday, a video on X showed a woman slapping a man in the face before he retaliates by trying to push her down the stairs during San Diego's 8-3 loss.
The Giants and Padres eventually split the series, 2-2.
Up next for San Diego is a home game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.
