Larry David lashed out at CNN heavyweight Chris Wallace for asking him his net worth, replying: 'None of your f*****g business!' in a testy on-air exchange.

In an interview with David for his weekly show 'Who's Talking to Chris Wallace' on Max, the mainstream media legend covered a number of topics, including politics, David's public persona, and of course 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.'

But things took a turn for the awkward when Wallace attempted to ask David about the Hollywood fortune he's amassed over many successful decades in the business.

Wallace said he'd read online that David, who famously co-created 'Seinfeld,' was worth an impressive half-a-billion dollars or so.

David attempted to skirt the question for a moment by complaining that he was out of water. But Wallace continued pushing the notoriously grumpy comedian.

Finally David responded: 'I'm  gonna say what should have been said to your father. None of your f**king business. How about that? And that’s ridiculous. That’s ridiculous.'

Wallace had mentioned that his father, famed American journalist Mike Wallace, often said that 'people are fascinated by how much rich people are worth.'

David added that the number cited by Wallace - roughly $500million - is 'so preposterous.'

'How about $100million,' said Wallace

'Okay, how about you shut up? Okay. How about you shut up? Is that alright?' retorted David.

'I gotta say, you know, 100 interviews. Nobody’s ever said that to me before,' said Wallace.

'Well just shut up,' replied the curmudgeonly comedian.

Later on in the interview, Wallace admitted that he was a little stung by being told to shut up.

David defended himself, saying that Wallace's question had been a crude one: 'What kind of question is that?'

The host said the question was 'perfectly legitimate,' adding that the late Barbara Walters once said: 'there’s no such thing as an indiscreet question. There are only indiscreet answers.'

David called the saying a 'good line' that isn't true.

'I wonder how Barbara Walter would react … [if someone asked her], "Barbara, how many times a week do you have sex with your husband? Do you give him head?"' spouted off David.

'Do you think she'd like that?'

Wallace said Walters likely would have said it was none of his business, but 'I don't think she would have said shut up.'

'I really stung you with that,' said David.

The pair also delved into politics. David called presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump a 'sociopath' and 'such a little baby,' as well as how the late Barbara Walters would react to an inappropriate question

The pair also got into politics, during a portion of the conversation where David predictably took a harsh stance against presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

'You can't go a day without thinking about what he's done to this country because he's such a little baby that he's thrown 250 years of democracy out the window by not accepting the results,' he said.

'I mean, it's so crazy. He's such a sociopath. He's so insane. He just couldn't admit to losing, and we know he lost, he knows he lost, and look how he's fooled everybody. He's convinced all these people that he didn't lose,' he added.

The comedian's anti-Trump leanings are well known, as he previously accosted his former friend, Trump impeachment lawyer Alan Dershowitz, on Martha's Vineyard in 2021.

Dershowitz told Page Six that David 'screamed' and 'yelled' at him. 'I was worried that he was going to have a stroke.'

A source told the gossip column that David was particulary aggrieved that Dershowitz had hugged Trump's former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

'No. No. We really can't. I saw you. I saw you with your arm around Pompeo! It’s disgusting!' David reportedly said.

Dershowitz explained that Pompeo was one of his former students at Harvard Law.

'It's disgusting. Your whole enclave - it’s disgusting. You’re disgusting!' David replied.
