Stefon Diggs is being traded from the Buffalo Bills to the Houston Texans.

The Bills are getting a 2025 second round pick in return for the 30-year-old, a four-time Pro Bowler, in a bombshell trade. He is under contract through to 2027 and is an $18.5m cap hit.

The wide receiver's move comes after he appeared to question fans scrutinizing his role in the success of Bills quarterback Josh Allen on social media on Tuesday night.

Diggs responded to a comment on X saying that a top tier receiver is not essential to Allen's success as a quarterback by saying: 'You sure?'.

But now it has emerged that C.J. Stroud, who had an outstanding rookie campaign last season, will be throwing him the ball next season as part of an exciting new Texans offense.

The Texans lost in the playoffs to the Baltimore Ravens last season after going 10-7 in the regular season and coming top of the AFC South.

Diggs will be teammates alongside Joe Mixon - who the Texans traded for from Cincinnati Bengals, Dalton Schultz, Nico Collins and Tank Dell next year.

It represents a remarkable turnaround for the Texans, who

Diggs was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015 and traded to the Bills in 2020.

He finished last season with 107 receptions for 1,183 yards, scoring eight touchdowns. It's six straight season for Diggs now with over 1,000 receiving yards.

The Bills began last season with five straight wins before a rocky run of losing five in eight.

They were eventually beaten at home in the playoffs by Kansas City Chiefs, who went on to win the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

The schedule for the new NFL season is expected to be announced in early May but the Texans will host the Bills in the 2024 campaign, so Diggs will face Allen and his old team.
