'No he's not': Jill Biden snaps at suggestion husband Joe is behind in swing states and says it's 'obvious' he'll win... despite poll showing he's losing to Trump in six of seven crucial battlegrounds

Jill Biden pushed back at polls that show husband Joe Biden losing to Donald Trump in key battleground states, saying it's 'obvious' he'll win another term in the White House.

'No, he's not losing in all the battleground states,' she told CBS Mornings where she surprised Missy Testerman of Tennessee, the newly named National Teacher of the Year.

But a new poll from The Wall Street Journal shows President Biden losing to Trump in six out of seven battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada and Pennsylvania. The two men are tied in Wisconsin.

Jill Biden, however, dismissed the numbers.

'I feel that Joe will be re-elected,' she said. 'He's coming up even or doing better. So you know what, once people start to focus in and they see their two choices, it's obvious that Joe will win this election.'

President Biden, too, has rejected poll numbers saying it's too early to believe them.

Jill Biden, a long time educator, was on the CBS morning news show to announce the first ever state dinner for teachers.

'When you come to the White House, we are going to have a state dinner for the teachers,' she told Testerman.

Testerman said that would be 'absolutely amazing.'

'I'm incredibly touched,' she told Biden. 'I know how devoted you are to teaching, continuing to teach, even when you're the first lady of the United States, first one ever to do that, and I know that we share the joy that there is to be found in education.'

State dinners are formal, black tie occasions meant to convey an added sense of honor and celebration.

The state dinner will be on May 1 when all the state teachers of the year come to the White House for a celebration in their honor, a White House official told DailyMail.com.

The Bidens have hosted the teachers of the year for an annual celebration since President Biden won the White House. But this will be the first time they honor them with a state dinner, similar to Michelle Obama hosted a Kids State Dinner when she was first lady.

Jill Biden, who teaches English and writing at a Northern Virginia Community College, said hosting the nation's top teachers is 'one of my favorite events at the White House.'

The state and national teacher of the year are chosen by the Council of Chief State School Officers.

The Bidens are hosting two state dinners soon, for Japan on April 10 and Kenya on May 23.
