50 Cent is reportedly not in the running to replace Diddy as the new face of Diageo's Ciroc after an outlet claimed the spirits brand was seeking to hire the rapper as their new brand ambassador.

TMZ has reported that the rumors surrounding Diageo's alleged interest in 50 Cent are false and that Diageo does not intend to bring the rapper on board.

Diddy - whose homes were recently raided as part of a sex trafficking investigation - partnered with Ciroc for 15 years until a lawsuit filed by the rapper against Diageo last year led to the end of their deal.

50 Cent, 48, gave legs to the rumor when he shared the original report to his Instagram along with an inspirational caption.

'Good morning people start the day off with positive energy, and make what your heart desires happen. QGTM,' he posted on Wednesday, adding a money bag emoji along with tags to his own liquor lines.

Insiders connected to 50 Cent were in disbelief to learn about the report considering his own successful line of alcohol, Sire Spirits.

The original report claimed 50 Cent was initially set to front the vodka back in 2007 before Diddy allegedly stepped in and 'stole the deal.'

It was also alleged the deal could be worth up to $100 million.

Last year Diddy sued spirits company Diageo claiming his vodka and tequila brands didn't receive promised investments while being treated as inferior 'urban' products.

The lawsuit filed by Combs Wine and Spirits in New York Supreme Court in Manhattann alleged that Diageo North America starved Combs' Ciroc vodka and DeLeon tequila brands of resources even as it showered attention on other celebrity brands.

Diageo bought actor George Clooney's Casamigos tequila brand for $1 billion in 2017, for example.

Combs, who is Black, said Diageo leadership told him his race was one of the reasons it limited distribution to urban neighborhoods.

He was also told that some Diageo leaders resented him for making too much money, according to the lawsuit.

'Cloaking itself in the language of diversity and equality is good for Diageo´s business, but it is a lie,' the lawsuit said. 'While Diageo may conspicuously include images of its Black partners in advertising materials and press releases, its words only provide the illusion of inclusion.'

The lawsuit claimed that his DeLeon tequila repeatedly has been out of stock nationwide, including large markets in California and New York.

'Diageo has typecasted Ciroc and DeLeon, apparently deciding they are 'Black brands' that should be targeted only to 'urban' consumers,' the plaintiff alleged in court documents, according to TMZ.

Combs had been associated with the London-based company since 2007 when it approached him about Ciroc.

Diageo own more than 200 brands, including Guiness beer and Tanqueray gin.

Diageo denied allegations of racism in a statement before ultimately severing ties with Diddy.

The company said in a statement obtained by CNN that Diddy's 'bad-faith actions have clearly breached his contracts and left us no choice but to… end our business relationship.'

The lawsuit comes nearly a year before Diddy's homes were raided in connection to a sex trafficking investigation.

Along with a heavy presence of officers, command trucks were seen parked outside both properties.

Local television images last Monday showed officers carrying rifles outside Combs' LA home.

Authorities detained his sons, Justin and Christian 'King' Combs and bound their hands with zip ties.

Combs cooperated with authorities and neither he nor any family members have been arrested or had their travel restricted.

Homeland Security has not detailed what it is investigating with regard to Combs.

The agency has broad jurisdiction to probe the illegal movement of people, goods, money, technology and contraband into, out of and throughout the United States, including sex trafficking.

After the raids, he claimed he was the victim of a 'witch hunt' and slammed Homeland Security for 'gross overuse of military-level force.

'Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated,' his attorney Aaron Dyer said in a statement.

The criminal investigation is a major escalation in the scrutiny of Combs, who has been the defendant in several sexual abuse lawsuits in recent months.

In a lawsuit Combs settled the day after it was filed in November, his former protégé and girlfriend, the R&B singer Cassie, sued him alleging years of sexual abuse, including rape.

The lawsuit said he forced her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed them.

In February, a music producer filed a lawsuit alleging Combs coerced him to solicit prostitutes and pressured him to have sex with them.

Another of Combs’ accusers was a woman who said the rap producer raped her two decades ago when she was 17.

Combs and his attorneys have denied all of the lawsuits’ allegations.
