Shohei Ohtani is finally off the mark for the LA Dodgers after hitting his first home run in their 5-4 win over the San Francisco Giants.
Playing his ninth game for his new team, Ohtani pulled a 93.2 mph sinker from left-hander Taylor Rogers on the upper, outer portion of the strike zone into the right-center field pavilion.
The ball left his bat at 105.6 mph and landed 430 feet from the plate, where it was picked up by a fan.
The fan who caught it was later seen being escorted from the stands, with LA officials likely to have negotiated with her to get Ohtani's first homer ball for the Dodgers back.
As he celebrated his 430ft strike, Ohtani was showered with sunflower seeds by teammate Teoscar Hernandez.

The home run came in the 41st plate appearance for the two-time MVP, who left the Los Angeles Angels after last season as a free agent and agreed to a record $700million, 10-year contract with the Dodgers.
Ohtani's home run, the 172nd of his major league career, put the Dodgers ahead 5-3. The two-way star is limited to hitting this year following elbow surgery in September.
He was held relatively quiet throughout his first 36 at-bats of the season, but Ohtani is now up and running for his new team.
The 29-year-old's short spell with the Dodgers has already been a rocky one after his former interpreter Ippei Mizuhara was fired by the team for allegedly stealing $4.5million from his client.
After his lawyers claimed their client was a victim of 'massive theft' by Mizuhara, who is accused of stealing the money to pay off gambling debts, Ohtani held a press conference to field questions on the investigation, insisting he has never bet on baseball or knowingly paid a bookmaker.
'Up until a couple of days ago, I didn't know that this was happening,' he said. 'In conclusion, Ippei has been stealing money from my account and has told lies.'
