David de Gea's wife, Edurne Garcia, has revealed she and her husband 'kidnapped all their guests' during their wedding in July and 'put them in vans' as they wanted to make their special day an 'unforgettable experience for their guests'.
The singer and television presenter, 38, who represented Spain in Eurovision in 2015, also opened up on the incredible post-ceremony celebrations, claiming there was a 'fun fair, zip lines and a foam party' for their guests.
De Gea's wedding came in the aftermath of a contract standoff between himself and Manchester United. The 33-year-old shot stopper, who had spent 12 years at the club, ultimately became a free agent after no agreement had been reached between both parties to extend his £375,000-per-year contract.
But the Spanish goalkeeper who is still without a club despite winning the Premier League's Golden Glove last season, didn't let the disappointment of being let go by United ruin his special day, tying the knot with TV presenter and actress Garcia, in 2023 at a lavish ceremony in Menorca.
Garcia, meanwhile, has revealed several details about their lavish ceremony, stating that she wanted to 'surprise their guests' stating that '20 kidnappers put all the attendees into vans'.

It came days after De Gea had learned that Man United would not be extending his contract
'My intention was to get married once in my life and I was clear that it had to be big and something that represented David and me,' the 38-year-old said to television presenter Pablo Motos on the Spanish show 'El Hormiguero' on Wednesday night, per Marca.
'The ceremony, the cocktail party and so on are very good, but after the cocktail party I wanted it to be a surprise and that it was an unforgettable day for the guests.
'So, we did a kind of gymkhana and at dinner, during the desserts, I 'kidnapped' all the guests and put them in vans,' she added before the show cut to an advertising break.
After the wedding, the Spain international shared pictures of himself and Garcia on his social media, writing: 'We couldn't be happier'.
According to The Sun, the pair first met back in 2010, during a recording of a Christmas carol to raise money with children with cancer. De Gea would sign for Man United in an £18million transfer just seven months later.
She continued after the break: 'There were like 20 kidnappers. I'm very playful, I like to play.
'I like escape rooms, I like people to have a good time. It's true that I thought about myself and maybe the guests didn't feel like it. But it is also true that they all had a great time,' she said.
Garcia revealed that she had wanted her guests to have an 'unforgettable' day at their wedding
'I 'kidnapped' them and took them to another place where I had prepared a gymkhana for them with games like 'El comecocos' (Pac Man) or 'Fortnite' for them to play.
'Then, after that yes, there was another fun fair that was the zip line and the foam party, which was an illusion that I had had all my life.'
Prior to their day, De Gea and Garcia enjoyed a stylish pre-wedding celebration in Menorca, with the party taking place on a rolling beach.
Many illustrious names were spotted in attendance, including his former United team-mates Juan Mata and Ander Herrera.
Man United, meanwhile, were blasted for a 'tone deaf' comment on the Instagram pictures De Gea published on his social media accounts.
Man United congratulated him, writing: 'Felicidades, David,' meaning 'Congratulations, David.'
But this subsequently angered some fans, who wrote: 'Are u kidding?? You let this man lose a job on a wedding day.'
A further furious fan said: 'This club has no shame… you’ve been so disrespectful to him!'

Mail Sport understands De Gea is still keen to get back into football and could command a good contract and that Newcastle had been interested in him after Nick Pope was ruled out with a long-standing injury earlier this season.
Despite that, the goalkeeper was recently spotted enjoying an Easter getaway in the Bahamas with his partner and their daughter, Yanay, and was trolled by his ex-team-mate Juan Mata on social media after he published a photo of himself looking a little sunburnt.
'Did you get a little sunburnt?' Mata wrote on Instagram, to which De Gea replied with a 'crab' emoji.
