An Ohio high school English teacher who was forced to resign after her secret OnlyFans account was discovered has revealed she sold the explicit content to service debt and that a part of her has 'died' now she is no longer teaching.
Jennifer Ruziscka, 50, was pushed out of Springfield High School in Holland, Ohio, where she had worked for 28 years when her 'Jenniferssecrets' account was discovered earlier this year.
Ruziscka has now revealed that she turned to OnlyFans for extra income to support her family and deal with credit card debt, and overdue mortgage and car payments.
'Running an OF site was quite simple in that I could set aside 20-30 minutes a night to produce content to post and then resume the 3-4 hours of work I so routinely brought home with me every night' the former teacher told Fox News.
'Just when I thought I could breathe a sigh of relief that there was now an additional source of income to help me close the financial gap that was growing larger every day, I was informed that the district was aware of my after-hours activity and was put on paid administrative leave,' she told the publication.
Jennifer Ruziscka, 50, resigned from her job as an English teacher at Springfield High School after she was put on administrative leave for operating OnlyFans and Fansly accounts
The superintendent told her that the district was aware of the online sexual behavior and 'conduct unbecoming' of an educator
Adding: 'Just like that, a 28-year career with the same school was now in jeopardy.'
Ruziscka said she was heartbroken to leave teaching and now every day 'has contained a sense of sadness, emptiness, and heartbreak.'
'I genuinely loved entering that building, excited about what I had planned for that day, as the energy in my classroom was electric, the camaraderie among my students was contagious, and the personal and academic growth was gratifying,' she explained.
'Without my presence in a classroom, it's as if a part of me has died.
'I didn't just teach students; I reached students' she added.
The fifty-year-old said compounding the heartbreak is the fact that it was a friend who revealed her secret to the school district.
'Knowing firsthand the agony and heartache associated with losing a place of employment, I cannot bring myself to [reveal the friend's name and] avenge that level of betrayal.
'That is not who I am nor who I ever wish to be.'
Superintendent Matt Geha said the school district became aware that Ruziscka was operating a 'pornographic/sexually graphic website' on January 26.
After she resigned, Ruziscka said, 'I remain one of the greatest English teachers ever to serve in the Springfield Local School District'
Ruziscka worked as a cheerleading coach and yearbook advisor, and her salary at the time of her resignation was $74,720
Geha said in a letter sent to the Ohio Board of Education that during the investigation into the teacher's conduct 'the evidence was secured with guidance from the district attorney.'
He contacted Ruziscka and told her that the district was aware of the online sexual behavior and 'conduct unbecoming' of an educator.
Geha told Ruziscka in an email that evidence found included 'an online account which is open and available to the public for view that is maintained by you and includes sexualized images and videos of you.'
He said her conduct violated the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators, Sections 1, 8 and 9 (h).'
Section 9, which is labeled 'Appropriate and Responsible Use of Technology' states: 'While maintaining their constitutional rights, educators recognize that when using technology, the words they choose and the context of their statements can reflect negatively on the positions, schools and the profession.'
A disciplinary hearing was scheduled for January 31, but she submitted her resignation beforehand.
Alongside teaching English Ruziscka worked as a cheerleading coach and yearbook advisor. Her salary at the time of her resignation was $74,720.
