Fans tuning into The View on Thursday morning were left baffled by Joy Behar's choice of footwear after noticing that the Brooklyn-born comedian walked out on set wearing odd shoes.
Joy, 81, did the usual walk out at the start of the show alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin - but far from focusing on the hosts themselves, eagle-eyed viewers quickly noticed that Joy was wearing one black heel and one white heel.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person posted: 'Why is Joy wearing 2 different color shoes? #TheView,' and another asked: 'lol why does Joy have two different heels on? #theview.'
But it wasn't just Joy's footwear that caught their eye, as a lot of viewers were also distracted by Alyssa's choice of attire as the 34-year-old stepped out wearing a $1,750 short pink, floaty Zimmermann dress complete with puffball sleeves and floral detail.
The Views were left rather confused on Thursday after Joy Behar appeared to suffer a fashion faux pas
Viewers were baffled and questioned why the comic was wearing different colored high heels
Fans of the ABC show also had a lot to say about Alyssa Farah Griffin's choice of attire
One person joked that Alyssa looked 'like a five-year-old going to a birthday party'
'#TheView Alyssa wearing her Easter dress today, from when she was nine years old,' one person mocked on X.
Another simply wrote: 'The hell is afg wearing? #TheView,' and a third asked: 'What is Alyssa wearing? She looks like a 5yr old going to a birthday party #TheView.'
Referring to 68-year-old Whoopi's all-in-one, someone else posted: 'Alyssa's kinda babydoll dress and Whoopi's kinda farmer overalls! #TheView.'
During Thursday's episode, the women discussed physical appearances during a Hot Topic segment about a recent TikTok video in which someone claimed Saturday Night Live has 'never hired a hot woman' in its 49 year history.
Comedian Joy had a lot to say on the subject and argued: 'First of all, it's a comedy show, not a beauty pageant. And it's not for men to ogle the women who are trying to get a laugh.
'First of all, as a comedian if you go out and there and you're like, "da, da, da, da, da", no one's gonna laugh at what you say because they're too busy looking at your boobs and working out something that's going on in their heads, especially the men.
'So, one thing clashes with the other, so that's one thing I could say to this girl. Not to mention the fact I don't see many hot men there. I mean, [John] Belushi and Chris Farley were not exactly my ideal dates,' Joy continued.
'So the men are not that hot, hot - meaning sexy - I think that's what they mean because the women are attractive, obviously. You don't have to be a dog to be funny, but if you're hugely, hugely model level, no one is going to laugh [and] that's why Gisele Bündchen is not funny.'
One viewer said that Whoopi Goldberg looked like a 'farmer' in her patterned overalls
Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person asked why Joy had 'different heels on'
Another eagle-eyed viewer spotted that Joy's shoes were a 'different color'
Other viewers mocked 34-year-old Alyssa's pink floaty dress on X
Someone branded pink garment as an 'Easter dress' and said she looked like a child
Joy and Sunny Hostin discussed comments made by someone on TikTok who claimed SN haven't hired any 'hot' women
Sara Haines (left) defended the SNL stars and Joy argued it's 'a comedy show, not a beauty pageant'
Sara, 46, chimed in and said: 'If you're looking for an e-babe, go watch an e-babe. Why are you watching SNL? These are sketch and improv comics, they're often in characters so at what point are you judging their hotness?'
Alyssa, 34, then added: 'I also think there is a baseline of attractiveness on TV. I think there's very good-looking SNL members, like Cecily Strong please play me if I'm ever made fun of on it!
'But listen, there's no Beyonce's or Brad Pitts on SNL but they're funny. And I thought of recently there was Jacob Elordi, one of the hottest guys on the planet hosted. He was funny but every skit was about how he's attractive because it can be a distraction, like he's not doing spit-take things because that wouldn't work.'
Joy then argued that men aren't necessarily attracted to funny females and said: 'A man could be scared of a woman on a stage with a microphone.
'We're in a powerful position there and any minute we could cut you down, and you know what that means, so they don't like it,' the redhead added.
But viewers weren't overly thrilled with their comments as one posted on X: 'Wow so the View hosts are kind of saying the current SNL cast is are not hot……awkward . #theview.'
And another wrote: 'I’m confused, did no one say any of the SNL women were good looking? #TheView.'
The furor began when TikTok user Jahelis posted a video on March 21 and asked: 'Am I the only person who’s ever noticed that SN has never hired a, like, hot woman?
SNL cast member Sarah Sherman responded to the TikTok and said: 'Just found out I’m not hot. Please give me and my family space to grieve privately and uglily at this time
New cast member Chloe Troast responded via TikTok and sang a version of Christina Aguilera's song Beautiful
'I’m not saying that every single woman who has been a cast member on SNL is ugly, just that none of them have ever been, like, hot.'
Specifically calling out cast member Heidi Gardner, Jahelis said Gardner is 'often used as the super hot and super dumb' girl in skits - but said 'she's not that pretty' but 'I guess technically the most conventional hot female on this cast.'
She added that SNL alum Maya Rudolph was 'really beautiful' and Kristen Wiig 'very conventionally attractive' but said she didn't perceive either of them as hot.
Some SNL stars decided to respond to her comments, with Sarah Sherman posting on X: 'Just found out I’m not hot. Please give me and my family space to grieve privately and uglily at this time.'
New cast member Chloe Troast responded via TikTok and shared a snippet of Jahelis' video before singing her own rendition of Christina Aguilera's song Beautiful and subtly giving Jahelis the middle finger.
