An American comedian has said Baby Boomers are a 'selfish generation' who 'refused to retire'.

Tim Dillon, 39, from New York, appeared on Dragons' Den star Steven Bartlett 's The Diary of a CEO podcast, where he branded boomers 'very sick people' and said that millennials are 'a sh** generation' who just want to be 'patted on the back for everything'.

Taking aim at all generations, he added that Gen Z should be 'drafted into wars' so they 'can go die in Ukraine.'

Steven, 31, asked questions of the outspoken comedian - but didn't appear to offer his own opinion on the different generations.

Tim said: 'I love the boomers, they are a selfish generation, the state of the Boomers is they are these powerful people who refuse to leave their mansions, they will not retire, they diminish their children by saying ''I can't believe you can't own something like this'', they like holding these houses over their kids heads.

'They are very sick people, they refuse to give up their jobs, they are emotional terrorists and I grew up with them they are very interesting people.

'They have proven the lie of the 60's, people thought they were progressive hippies, they were not, they were actually just selfish drug addicts.  They just wanted to get high and roll around in the mud.

'But they are the funniest generation that ever lived, nobody is funnier because to be funny you kind of have to not care, no one has cared less about the future of this planet or the future of their children about anything but the Boomers.'

Moving onto millennials the comedian claimed they always want to be rewarded for everything they do.

'The millennials are this really sh** generation where they are like, pin a medal on me, put a ribbon on me, I am right, I went to the right college I got the right internship, I believe the right things, I Tweeted the right thing, I have the right politics.

'Millennials are these kind of ambitious people that want to constantly be patted on the back and told how great they are.'

Although he had some positive things to say about Gen Z's he added they should be 'drafted into war'.

What generation are you? From Silent Generation to Gen Alpha

Many researchers disagree on the exact years of each demographic, with many falling at the start or end of each group known as 'cuspers'.

The Greatest Generation:  Born 1900-1925

The Silent Generation: Born 1925-1945

Baby Boomers: Born 1946-1964

Gen X: Born 1965-1980

Millennials: Born 1981-1998

Gen Z: Born 1999-2010

Gen Alpha: Born early 2010s-2025

He added: 'Then the Gen Z are self starters very sceptical of institutions and cynical, that some of their positive qualities.

'There more negative qualities are the murder, filming murders and fentanyl vapes, we need a draft to be honest.

'Young people should probably just go into the military, I know that is going to be a controversial thing to say but if they are going to just do fentanyl and attack each other in malls and put it on TikTok they can go die in Ukraine.'

Tim also added that new generations have 'exposed society's scam' because they 'don't work hard.'

He said: 'I think they have figured out it's all a scam, they are not wrong, when you figure out the country is a scam you can approach it like a con artist or scammer would, they invent mental health elements they don't have, they take days off on end, they terrify their elders on respecting their mediocre quality of work.

'This is something I full support, it is there way of rising through the ranks, they are taking advantage of people that they work with and making them tolerate work of a lower quality because they have realised that a lot of this if bulls*** so why can't I get in on it.'
