Chiefs star Rashee Rice could reportedly face up to six months in jail after 10.8g of marijuana was found in the Lamborghini he was driving when involved in a multivehicle crash in Dallas.

The Super Bowl winner's attorney insists Rice is fully cooperating with police  investigating last Saturday's incident. Royce West said he expects the Dallas District Attorney to file charges.

According to WFAA, the police report revealed that 10.8 grams of marijuana was found in the vehicle that Rice's attorney has confirmed he was driving.

In Texas, possession of up to two ounces of marijuana is a Class B misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to 180 days in jail and fine of up to $2,000.

West reportedly claimed that he has not been spoken to by police about that strand of the investigation.

But the attorney did say of the people caught up in the accident: 'He's (Rice) going to do everything in his power to bring their life back to as normal as possible in terms of injuries, in terms of property damage.

'But for the grace of God, someone could have been injured, I mean, seriously injured. He understands that and appreciates it.

'That’s why he wanted to come out and say that he’s going to be responsible for making certain the victims are made whole as best as possible.'

The crash involved the Lamborghini, a Chevrolet Corvette and four other vehicles. It left four people with minor injuries, according to police.

Like Rice, the driver of the Corvette also left the scene without determining whether anyone needed medical attention or providing their information, police said.

The wide receiver posted in an Instagram story post on Wednesday that he was taking 'full responsibility' for his part in the wreck.
