A bystander captured the wild moment a father and son worked together to wrangle a massive alligator on a Florida highway.
Travis Graves and his nine-year-old son, Travis Graves II, captured the nine-foot long alligator in Jacksonville on Monday.
The father impressively collared the creature and let his son help with securing it to be transported, with the goal of teaching the boy to one day be able to catch them on his own.
'The last few years we have started letting him be a part of catching the alligators rather than watching and learning while he was younger,' the father told The Florida Times Union.
'He is still a far way off from letting him jump the gators, but we try to let him be as hands on as we can to be safe.'
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway to move the gator stuck on the road.

Deputies tried to corral the beast off the road with their cars, but it ended up crawling under a police cruiser.
That's when 36-year-old Graves, a contractor with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and his young son swooped in with their long catch pole.
The older Graves was able to get the loop at the end of the pole around the alligators neck and pulled it out from underneath the vehicle and off the road.
He brought the gator over to a grassy median and began spinning it around in what is often called a death roll, which is a spinning maneuver that subdues prey.
Graves wrapped the catch pole around a street sign then called over his 9-year-old son to assist.
'We would never put him or any of our children in danger, and he is not allowed to help unless we have the situation under total control and is instructed to come over to help, much like you can see happening in the video,' he said.
The younger graves held the catch pole that was around the animals neck while his father sat on top of the alligator and began securing its mouth shut.
After starting to wrap tape around the gators mouth, the young dad allowed his son to help him finish the job.

Once they completely secured the animal, Graves backed his car up to the median and opened his trunk to transport the alligator.
He picked up the colossal creature and fit it into his Volkswagen Jetta TDI - which Graves said can hold up to ten-foot long gators.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed to The Florida Times-Union that the animal was taken to an alligator farm.

'He started learning the ropes from day one literally. The day my wife and I were released with my son from the hospital, before we took him home we went straight out and caught an alligator. So you can say he has literally been doing it since birth,' the father said.
