The details surrounding allegations of assault and death threats against UFC star Jon Jones, made by an agent from the anti-doping body Drug Free Sport International , have been laid bare.
On Saturday, ABQRAW first reported the alleged incident, which unfolded at Jones' Albuquerque residence.
A police report, acquired by DailyMail.com, reveals that the UFC heavyweight champion is accused of grabbing the 'terrified' tester's phone and threatening to sue her and her colleague.
Jones - whom the tester thought might have been drunk - then allegedly threatened them as they attempted to acquire a sample, leaving the agent in fear that he might hit her.
'Why you f****** people come so early,' Jones is accused of telling the agent, per the police report. 'Do you know what happens to people who come to my house, they end up dead.'
Jon Jones allegedly assaulted a drug-testing agent in his Albuquerque residence on March 30
A police report details that Jones is accused of grabbing the agent's phone and threatening to sue them
According to the report, both agents arrived at Jones' house at approximately 4pm on March 30, 2024, when an unknown male answered the door and directed them to the garage.
The agent claims Jones was cooperative at first when she showed her credentials and laid her testing materials and phone on a table. After asking to do the urine test in the garage, she left a colleague with the UFC star.
A few minutes later, she claims to have found that both Jones and her colleague were gone. When they reappeared, the agent was informed by her colleague - who appeared nervous - that Jones was unable to do the urine test.
She claims to have offered a blood test as an alternative before the heavyweight began the reported assault and threatened both agents. She stated that Jones appeared agitated by him being 'tense and puffed up.'
The tester claims that Jones then threatened to sue them before taking her phone and recording a video. Officers were shown the video, which appears to show Jones using profanities.
After allegedly pocketing the agent's phone, Jones is accused of refusing to hand the device back. Instead, it's claimed, he got into her face and said: 'Why you f****** people come so early - do you know what happens to people who come to my house, they end up dead.'
Drug Free Sport International, who the agent works for, is yet to make a statement
This left the agent 'terrified', her heart 'pounding', per the police report. The alleged victim wanted to abandon the test but feared Jones might hit her - given UFC fighters can be fined for not taking tests.
She later told police that she thought the fighter might have been drunk because she could smell alcohol on him. He had no shirt on at the time.
Jones later agreed to take the urine test and set her phone down before she quickly grabbed it.
Later on Saturday, Jones released a statement in which he admitted using foul language but denied threatening the agents.
'Although I was frustrated with the unprofessionalism and used profanity out of frustration it ended friendly and amicably, nothing threatening at all,' he said.
'I was actually celebrating a friend’s birthday party at my home, and I believe it’s perfectly normal to celebrate in the comfort of my own home.'
'I must say, this particular tester behaved quite unprofessionally and even breached standard protocol along with HIPAA laws. Throughout my 20 years of being subjected to drug tests, I have never encountered such an incident with a DCO officer before.'
