A shameless pair of accused squatters have demanded to be made 'heirs' of the Long Island home they took over by forging the dead homeowner's signature in documents.
Denton Gayle, 29, and Margaret Grover, 19, allegedly presented a judge with a fake lease and a forged signature of the previous owner, Edward Iacono Sr., who died in 2016.
The documents presented to Nassau Housing Court Judge Christopher J. Coschignano showed that the couple had apparently rented the home, 39 Brussel Drive, on June 1 for $1,500 a month, court records show.
In the two-year lease agreement that the pair allegedly forged, there was a provision that they would becoming the owners, The New York Post reported.
The newest update to the ongoing saga that has driven neighbors crazy for months is that the couple, who share a dog called Daisy and a baby son, want to be named 'heirs' to the property.

Gayle and Grover filed paperwork on Monday in Nassau Supreme Court that requested they be 'added as heirs' to the $873,000 house they're squatting in.
Neighbors who live on the quiet block in New Hyde Park have said that the 1597-squae-foot single-family home with two bedrooms has been vacant for more than a decade after the owner died.
They said that the home had been in foreclosure since every member of the immediate family who owned it died between 2015 and 2018.
Judge Coschignano ordered Grover and Gayle to vacate the property last month, and an eviction against the pair is now pending.
Lawyers for the couple have said that they aren't squatting - and insists they signed a valid lease document from a man they believed to be Iacono.
'We're not trying to play the system or asking for anything unfair, the thing they're asking for here will allow us to be able to add our own voice and testimony to the record as the Courts try to determine what happened here and what the next steps are,' said attorney William Igbokwe.
The obnoxious couple wreaked havoc throughout the peaceful street until they were tossed out in October and since then, they were allowed to move back in based on the alleged bogus documents.
Worried neighbors called 911 because they were worried about the pair's child as the home has no heat, electricity, hot water or working bathrooms.
When they returned in January, Gayle allegedly racked up $3,000 worth of parking tickets on his 2013 black Porsche Cayenne, which, according to The Post, has a Pennsylvania license plate.

Neighbors complained that Gayle was trying to intimidate him after his return by pacing up and down the street and giving them the middle finger, and even allegedly attempting to chase down an elderly man.
'We truly believe that these people are going to be vindictive,' said a resident, who captured video of Gayle allegedly banging and kicking their door and using a racial slur while telling him to come outside.
Gayle and Grover are facing charges of acting in a manner injurious to a child from their October arrest.
Gayle also faces charges for resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration charges, records show.
