South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley has been spotted donning a $5,370 Louis Vuitton jacket during her team's national championship game against Iowa

That's according to an X post from Front Office Sports. The outlet claims that Staley - a two-time NCAA champ (2017, 2022) as the Gamecocks' head coach - is wearing a 'Graphic Accent Silver Calfskin Jacket' made by the French luxury brand.

The jacket is listed for sale online for $7,964 on buyma.us.

Staley was also seen in white Louis Vuitton shoes prior to the start of Sunday's title game in Cleveland, Ohio.

According to the brand's website, all 'trainers' are for sale for at a minimum starting price of $1,220.

Before this weekend's title game, Staley, who never emerged victorious from March Madness as a player despite making it to the Final Four thrice with Virginia between 1989 and 1992, warned Iowa star Caitlin Clark that the only way she can secure her legacy in women's college basketball is by winning a championship

When asked about the significance of winning Sunday's game over her undefeated team (37-0) for the NCAA all-time leading scorer in men's and women's hoops, Staley said: 'I was really good in college, never won a championship. You've got to win a championship. That's me personally. I had a great career.

'But it's always, did you win a championship?'

Staley also sparked controversy before the national championship game by claiming that transgender athletes 'should be able to play' in women's college hoops.

Speaking a day after South Carolina beat rival NC State in the Final Four last week, Staley said anyone who considers themselves to be a woman should be free to play.

'I'm of the opinion that if you're a woman, you should play,' she said. 'If you consider yourself a woman and you want to play sports, or vice-versa, you should be able to play.'
